I think the Blue Mountain fortress should not be as fortified as the others fortress of the Dwarves.
If we take in account the fact that the Dwarves built the Thorin's Halls after Smaug have destroyed Erebor, it is likely that the dwarfs were pressed by time.
I then like this concept because he show us a giant gate without anything. It is a lonely gate in the middle of high montains. A fact which makes us really feel that the Ered Luin dwarves have suffer many losses.
Moreover Erebor was built for years, unlike Thorin's Halls.
Looks so good! The only thing is the missing of the walls and maybe gate on the plateau :)
