I appreciate for the feedback. Here's a slightly more elaborate description of the game. I will update the Steam Store page to something similar to this within the next two days.

Description ( Story ) :

Martin Preston is a journalist who made the biggest mistake of his life.

Now, his loved one is in a coma and he will soon run out of money to pay for her treatment.

He is contacted by his boss Adrian Woods who offers him a chance of redemption: If he uncovers the origins of "Darkness" as the grand finale of "Earth's Untold Horrors" a series of documentaries Adrian will cover the hospital expenses of Martin's love, in full.

Armed with nothing, but a camera, Martin must enter the woods and delve into the mysteries surrounding the monster 'Darkness' and his murderous activities. It may seem a suicidal mission. But desperate times call for desperate measures.

Martin ventures to the forest where he encounters the traces in a mystery long forgotten, that of Frank Conway, a police officer part of the 'Darkness' case in the 80s.

You must find the tapes left behind by Conway, during his attempts to find his son who was taken soon after Conway was sacked from his job for asking too many questions during the 'Darkness' case.

I hope that is elaborate enough to intrigue the player while not giving the whole plot away. Please let me know if you have any feedback with regards to the new description

Mini-update, doesn't require a post - Working on development of A Step Into Darkness at the moment until Friday for the Game Development World Championships, On Saturday I will make a post detailing whats happening with the game and our process with Steam / releasing on Steam.

Hey man,

I watched the video and realised how far we came (as well as how much of a buggy mess that alpha version was!) I really enjoyed the video as well, it was really well made.

Soon we're releasing the greenlight page for A Step Into Darkness, a game inspired by Slender:AND but has working gameplay and an actual storyline.

Since you seem interesting in the game I can sent what going to be one of the final versions via DM and you can let us know what you think.

Thanks for the feedback and the motivation to carry on no matter how much of a struggle lies ahead.

Thank you for your feedback. The update after next will have a story mode and in between will have cutscenes explaining Slender and what he has done. I haven't played Amnesia but I will play it and see if I can create a AI like the enemy for the game. Added music in the next version (coming out in 2 days). As for the puzzle solving, I can work on something like that for the next version, if it works it would be a great addition to the gameplay. Thanks :)

As I said, we are trying our best to make this game as different as possible while still using the same basics as the other Slender games. Thanks again for your feedback
