When this mod is done they should make a spinoff of it called Zombie Maester Pycell Edition.

If you can make this multiplayer I would play it over Mount and Musket every day!

The stock looks kinda off, angled too far down (unless it's just the render's viewpoint giving some kind of illusion doing that). The render probably doesn't do the model justice. Some of the edges seem like they should be sharper rather than curvy, nice to see some progress though.

Good job! Will there be some special system with animations when it comes to loading the cannon?

Mostly correct DarkSpaceMarine. All guns used in the Civil War were rifled, even the muzzle loading muskets used in the Civil War were rifled, and were extremely common (they were the standard firearms for line infantry). Flintlock muskets were not used in the Civil War (unless there's some random Confederate brigade that did or whatnot). Repeaters were only used by light infantry, and mounted infantry/cavalry units and even then not always. The rifles your talking about are probably breech loaded weapons, which were also used by light infantry and cavalry.

Basically, what emperor77 said.

Awesome! One of the lesser known assets of the war. Well modeled.

Good shape, loved the repeaters. One suggestion I would make would be to round off some of the wooden edges, atm it looks kinda blocky in some spots. But if this is necessary to keep the poly count down, then so be it.

Half right adkinsnoob, they actually fired Minie bullets, not balls. The Minie bullet was shaped like a bullet and had two grooves (since the muskets used then actually had rifling) picture: Relicman.com

Because the Civil War was the first war that actually used these rifled muskets (Which were soooo much more accurate than previous ones) while keeping the old fashioned tactics, it was more casualty heavy than many other wars.

Just some info. Also, the gun model is very good!

Good, except that tie looks kinda huge. Loving the style though.

Most muskets fired a .58 Caliber round, not .577. Even then, that picture shows it as being a whole round (with a metal cartridge and everything). Is that round there just for some kind of comparison, or is that what the musket will be firing?

The shade of blue is pretty good actually, just make sure that the hat is the same shade as the shirt, atm it looks odd (I know it's WIP). Only other large problem is the layout of the pouches and whatnot, which will hopefully come later. If you need some reference pics for the gear layouts let me know.

Great early WIP pics! I do Civil War reenacting, and if you need some info on how the gear is supposed to look, or general tactical/practical information let me know.

Yes! I always support WWI stuff. Can't wait to see it when it's out. I realize that a lot is WIP, but I would consider working more on the uniforms.

Nice to hear! It wasn't a huge problem, but there were times when it got frustrating. I tried the wounding module and see what you mean, makes things much better. Fantastic work either way! The new map looks really awesome, can't wait to play on it.

Everything looks awesome! One question though, in the currently released version, the weapons seem to do too little damage in my opinion, especially SMG's. I usually have to unload 5-10 rounds even in close combat to down someone. I was using a Thompson, which is supposed to use powerful .45 rounds, and I don't think they had bulletproof vests back then. I just wonder whether weapon damage has been modified and made a bit more realistic? If not I would like you to consider changing it. Otherwise fantastic work! I can't wait to play the next version regardless!

Always great to have WWI mods! It's one of the least used theaters of war. I can imagine the massive battles that ArmA2 could provide for the theater. Good luck!

Damnit! You guys are gonna end up forcing me to buy Crysis and Crysis Wars! Keep up the great work though. Also, even if you don't have weapons and animations finished, a video walk through of some of the maps would be fantastic. Perhaps explaining how the design process went along the way, and general comments on the mod. Video updates are always more exciting than text and pictures, even if it's nothing special, video seems to make it more interesting. Just a thought.
