The free playable demo version which lets you play first eight single player levels and one multiplayer level. Besides locking rest of the built-in levels it's otherwise fully functional.

For me, a working comment system with notifications is the most critically needed improvement.

I already like IndieDB a lot, but it could be even better!

This looks promising. Simple but addictive gameplay and nice visual style.

There's something wrong with the video, though. Might be a problem at my end, but it won't start playing. The youtube video on the website plays just fine.

Problem solved, I replied to your email.

The game expects all moving stuff like enemies to stay inside area formed by wall/floor/ceiling blocks. The level in question had a lot of enemies placed outside outer walls, which eventually caused problems when starting the level.

I'm sorry I missed your comment here (I'm still not getting any notifications on new comments here).

Is the created level missing from the list of levels to select, or does it give some error when you try to play it?

The level must have a single player start point for it to be available for single player games.

The reason why PS3 controller is supported only in Linux is that I couldn't find an acceptable Windows driver for it. If anyone knows a relatively easy way to get the PS3 controller working in Windows without the shady MotionInJoy driver, please let me know.

I have really high hopes for this game! Quake 1 was/is my all time favorite multiplayer game, especially with mods that gave all sort of crazy weaponry.

I have fond memories of blood drainers, poisonous arrows, nukes, throwing axes and severed heads. Can't remember the name of the mod though..

A sort of cross between platformer and third person shooter. Try it out and see for yourself :)

Sorry for the late answer. There are no plans for a coop mode, local or otherwise. I have thought of local split screen multiplayer mode for basic deathmatch, but I'm not sure if that will ever get implemented.

Sorry for the _really_ late answer, I didn't notice your comment here..

There is already mouse control option, it is just not enabled by default. You can enable it from menu in ->Settings->System Settings->Controller.

As for the basic character shadows, better "HUD" and more varying enemy looks, they are all on my task list.

By the way, this multiplayer level is available for download through in-game level browser.

This level won't be included in the game, it is just something I quickly made for this video without much planning.

This is one seriously ambitious project and it's already looking quite impressive. Are you doing all this by yourself (I read somewhere that this is a one-man company)?

The game is known to work in Debian Squeeze so it should work in Wheezy too, since Wheezy likely has later version of libc, which is generally backwards compatible.

That libXaw.so.7 requiring GLIBC_2.14 is installed by Desura, so I don't know where it came from. I will have to look into this. I will let you know when I know more.

In the meantime, if you have the time, you could try the direct download version. That might work better, since it uses libXaw provided by the system.

This problem has been solved and will be fixed in the next release. This was not specific to Windows 7, but affects all Windows versions, if certain libraries happen to exist in system directories.

Ok, thanks for trying it though!

I tested the 0.6.1 release on 64-bit Crunchbang Linux 10 without problems, so this problem must be something more specific and does not rule out Crunchbang Linux support completely.

It shouldn't need anything other that Visual C++ 2008 run-time libraries, but those should have been installed by Desura if not found..

Did you install it from Desura? If so, could you please try the direct download from indiedb.com instead.

I have seen some weird file permission related problems with the Desura version on 64-bit Windows 7.

Crunchbang Linux seems to be based on Debian Squeeze so you are likely facing the exact same problem as lordkgd. This will be fixed in next alpha version coming very soon.
