I know the mod is orginally based on the books, but it's open source and other people have been tweaking with it for a while.
The location of the Corsairs in the game is the Bay of belfafas, and the actual city is far south of it.(This is in the books and the maps that come with the books. That's why it seemed so out of place to me, that this mod that strictly follows the book didn't here.)http://lotr.wikia.com/wiki/File:UMBAR_location_map_in_middle_earth.PNG
Are there any patches to make the Rhun and Harad armor look like it does in the movies. Also, how come Umbar is it's own faction yet the city isn't on the map?
You should keep the plasma particle's accuracy as is, to make them seige or head-on weapons. This will make not OP and make strategy needed more. If you instead choose to just fix the accuracy, the problem is the speed of the projectiles is too slow, without enough spread to make it so the AI isn't just an aimbot but can still hit a moving target. Either of these solutions would also make the FPS part of the game better, because it's looks like it needs some work(only really used when the AI glitched out in the video)
Is development of this dead? Would love to play it,but I see nothing more than a few drawing here.
Great singleplayer and Multiplayer LAN, only thing missing is any variety in armor other than color, but with a ton of guns, troops and maps you can see why that hasn't been a focus.
Amazing game and community, went on thinking it would be a free GTA, but it is so much better with a little bit worse graphics. If you like driving, shooting, texting, talking, flying, swimming, walking, or blowing things up, you'll love this game.
The servers don't seem to be working. Looks like a great game, and I'd like to play.
So it will be more like command & conquer than civ. 5? I imagine having a slow-paced gamemode/sandbox(infinite map with more enemy bases the farther you go)with fuel requirements and scouts to find the bases would be epic. Will there be an open demo/beta any time soon?
Amazing game, I miss the days when story and action mattered more than RNG and twitch-shooting. This game has a great story I can put myself into and small bits of strategic gameplay that make you stop to think instead of rushing to checkpoints.
Looks amazing. One question though, will it be missions-based or an open-world area where you start with 9 or so enemies and have to seige their bases one by one while surviving sieges? Either way, this game looks like it already is amazing and will only get more so.
Just needs a map or a way to increase carry weight then this game would easily be best 2d game I've ever played.
