i'm not on discord. like i said, if you want more info i'll provide it, here. if this doesn't work for you that's fine, then we can see this issue as solved or as a simple "bug" report.
and to no come off as rude, don't worry as far as i'm concerned you don't owe me anything...

just few post below i posted how i've set it up, maybe this works for you too... (and probably delete the enjoy-sp files and start with a new data folder, since after you start the game additional files get created)

F.I.M. - - 51 comments @ Enjoy-SP Mod

started from scratch, and it looks like its working like i hoped it would.
maybe it helps someone, so here in that order...

using 1.13c
latest basemod (1138)
pluggy 11.02 (loaded by basemod, using the pluggy.ini from basemod with active big stash)
SGD2FreeRes (loaded by basemod)
cnc-ddraw

whit this setup you have the big pluggy stash, full merc equip from basemod, and bigger inventory (basemod or pluggy??)

enjoy-sp will mess this up a little. so unpack enjoy-sp, copy the data into the d2 folder, but don't start the game yet, and delete the ui folder in /data/global/
and also delete inventory.txt in /data/global/excel

hey, great mod!
i'm using plugy and basemod, and would like to use the bigger inventory from basemod.
if i don't use your mod the inventory stuff from basemod works, if i activate your mod, it doesn't anymore. so your mod is overriding something in the basemod mpq files.
i tested overriding the data of your mod with this
Indiedb.com
on first glance it looks like it might be working. but since some files got overwritten i'm not sure if its a problem.
any thoughts?

well if the integrated graphics isn't the problem, i have no ideas left, except try to use openjk Github.com
which isn't recommended on windows if jk2 runs fine, but since it doesn't run it might be worth a shot...

and just in case, you used the command line parameters and the autoexec.cfg on your new install?

about sweetFX, not used that, but reshade worked for me.

and now i'm really out of ideas xP

hey, i'll c&p from the comment section ..^^ but with integrated graphics you may just be out of luck unfortunately :/

try to set the command line parameter on your shortcut: +set com_zoneMegs 128
and maybe +set com_hunkMegs 192 too...

example:
C:\Games\jedioutcast\GameData\jk2sp.exe +set com_zoneMegs 128 +set com_hunkMegs 192

and/or maybe try my autoexec.cfg Pastebin.com (remember to set your resolution)

its been a while since i looked into it when i played jedi outcast again. and i assume i got it from here: Pcgamingwiki.com

quote: "OpenJK is in development so bugs should be expected, do not use if official version works."

so i have no exact why, except that i did read it somewhere, official version worked for me and i guess that's why i had this back in my mind.

but again, it should work, i use openjk for jedi academy and upscaled textures work there too.
and it's easy to try out, backup your jedi outcast folder, paste openjk files and try it out.

if you play jedi outcast with it, i think it should be, but i have not tested it, so if you do, let us know.
and just in case and as far as i remember, if you play jedi outcast, and you're on windows it's recommended not to use openjk and only use it if you're on linux.

if you scroll down in the comment section, you find possible solutions... but since even dedicated GPUs can't handle it, don't expect anything from integrated GPUs.. gl

hey, thanks for the feedback!
i have already made the jedi academy upscale, but i haven't played through the game yet to confirm everything works and thus not released it yet.

i totally get it about texture packs being faithful to the original vision of the game, even though i don't mind good texture packs that change things outright.
but for jedi academy i'm thinking of replacing some grass textures, some are really ugly =D but those will be an optional download if replaced..

the pack is 5gb, and loading times tank quite hard compared to vanilla...

savegame on the first level, game on 10k/rpm harddrive
with 1min40
w/o 10sec

so not great, but faster than 2.5min xD i'll try to test it soon, like i wanted to weeks ago, owell ... xD

sry i'm out of ideas. maybe its the 970 vram where 0.5gb are 7 times slower than the 3.5gb section. you could check your vram usage while this happens, if you hit 3.5gb or more, it could be the vram problem.
owell at least you won't miss much, the improvement is minimal anyways xD

if you don't use JK2-FX MOD, check out Moddb.com
i would say you'll get more out of this for less

do you have integrated graphics ?
check the FAQ here Community.moviebattles.org
search for z_malloc to jump to the section.

only solution in a movie battles thread is to lower graphic settings...

btw not tested with any source port or linux on my end...

thank the machine, did you add "+set com_zoneMegs 48" to your command line? (not in the cfg!) if so, have you tried to increase it? maybe try 128. or try an other upscale mod and see if this crashes as well Moddb.com
or maybe try to also add +set com_hunkMegs 192

F.I.M. - - 51 comments @ Jedi Outcast 4xAI UpScale

thanks and yes they are included. but as you can see on the screenshots the textures don't benefit much overall from upscaling due to the nature of the base textures, and the weapon and character textures are imho the worst offenders in that regard.
