I'm passionate about gaming and have been doing it ever since 1996 when I got the PS1. I've been modding ever since late 2006 (almost a 10 year gap). My first ever mod was Desert Region for Morrowind. I tried modding for Half-Life but it's not for me. I focus mainly on my Desert Region mod series which will end after Desert Region 3 and I have plans for an indie game in the future. Watch this space...

I figured that it's time to show off the work I have been doing for the past couple of years. All are available for download in their current form.

Elsweyr Pelletine (Oblivion):

Elsweyr Anequina only adds northern Elsweyr and stops short after Corinthe. Seeing that the entire province was not exploreable, I decided to change that and steadily worked towards completing the province.

The province is about 90% done - all it needs is to have the western map filled out with miscellaneous locations.

Nuka-World Reborn (Fallout 4):

After playing the great Far Harbor DLC, Nuka-World left me rather unsatisfied. So, I created more events, more choice in the existing DLC and a whole new companion.

De Feet (Indie):

De Feet is a Choose Your Own Adventure style game, combined with puzzle solving, exploring and light combat. Set both in the past and the present day, you would be faced with finding the mystery behind a magical pair of shoes and determine the fate of an entire county in the process.

The entire draft of the quest structure has been planned out, and is about 20% done when it comes to the story.

Ever since I finished the release of UBA's Paradise for Desert Region 2, it seemed like I have disappeared from the community. But in actual fact, I was working on mods like Valenwood Islands and City of Balmora, until that fateful day when I realised that I missed Desert Region.

So, what are my actual practical plans going forward?

  • Desert Region 3 for Oblivion has just been started. It will only be made for closure of the Desert Region series, as Desert Region 2 left a lot of loose threads hanging. Needless to say, it will be the final installment.
  • A conversion of Desert Region 1 to Oblivion is possible, but I don't guarantee that it will happen.
  • A conversion of Desert Region 2 to Oblivion would take a lot of work to convert over the clothes, armor and hair, so it's incredibly unlikely.
  • The 9th Chapter will be slightly updated, as there was a promised reward that never materialised.
  • A cut add-on to Desert Region 1, called "Olive the Enchanter", will be tested and will optionally be made standalone.

(Gosh, I feel so old!)

As we are nearing the magical release date of DR2, I thought it was time to post an update on my current plans.

Firstly, DR2 will be released on the 12/12/12 and I'm really happy to say that development has been going very smoothly. Because of technical problems with the third storyline, I regret that the world would not be as big as originally planned, BUT it would be a reasonably sized world which should keep all of you occupied for several hours. I'm aiming for around 5-6 hours of gameplay in this mod with over 100 quests to keep you occupied.

I will work on the indie iPhone game after the release of DR2. Once significant progress is made, details on the project will be revealed. I will also focus on fixing up DR1 and after DR1 is finished and released, DR3 for Oblivion will be started.

However, after much thought, DR3 will definitely be the last DR mod. After much planning, I found out that with the written ending, there is nothing else I could do with the Redchurch Temple or the characters. I feel that it's better to end it after a trilogy and make it go out with a bang, rather than drag on the series like a dead horse and have nothing else to say. I will miss DR when it ends and I appreciate the massive support that I've been getting from everyone here. Without all of your support, I wouldn't even have the courage to go out and make an indie game.

Yes, the project is riskier and I have massive competition from the likes of Angry Birds and Temple Run but I am determined to make it happen. I will be back soon with another update, hopefully when we will be closer to the DR2 release date!

Desert Region 2 will be finished this year on the 12/12/2012. So I guess you are wondering what will happen after that?

Well, I plan to update Desert Region 1 as many new quests have been made for the mod. Also, I admit that the first DR mod is confusing and daunting so that's why I'm updating it after DR2 is finished. It should take a few months, maybe maximum half a year for me to do that.

Next, I have an indie game for the iPhone planned to be started on when I finish DR2. Full details will come closer to the date. All I can say is that it will run on the UDK and some elements of the game will be close to DR...

Two more installments of Desert Region are already planned for Oblivion and Skyrim. After the first Desert region mod has its super final update released on moddb, I will then focus on the third installment of the mod series.

That's it for now! Watch this space for further updates...

After a nice break from modding (and other stuff in general), I have come back with development plans for the upcoming year.

Firstly, Desert Region 3 for Oblivion will have a mod profile in maximum three weeks. It is just a matter of getting a new PC and running Oblivion in the first place, let alone modding for it. I have a music composer on board (name and website will be announced on the mod profile) but I am not sure about the voice acting as of now.

Secondly, I have two indie games with full design documents (assets, controls, characters, levels, etc...) but I will not disclose much until I am completely sure that I can get my ideas to work on a 3D game environment, with fully working levels and everything. The main hurdle that I will have to overcome is the 3D modelling, rigging and animating through Blender, but I will be able to get over it sooner or later. More information to come soon.

I am writing to inform people of my current progress of Desert Region 2. Fortunately, the mod is going through final polishing and I do not have much left to do. The mod might come earlier than planned.

I am adding an extra minor mission with Seem and an extra tomb quest in addition. Also, there is an upgradeable amulet that takes you to the towns and cities where the missions take place. This is to ensure clarity and convenience.

Desert Region 2 - I was busy with my GCSEs recently so therefore, I have not been able to get much work done. I am halfway through the bug fixing but progress has been really slow. I will also make one extra quest as an epilogue.

Sequel - With my old gaming rig, I cannot make mods for Oblivion or Fallout 3 at the moment. So, that is why there is a severe delay with Desert Region 3. There are planned to be three episodes for Desert Region 3:

1). Episode 1 for Oblivion - will come back to original roots from Desert Region 1

2). Episode 2 for Fallout 3 - more serious

3). Episode 3 for Fallout: New Vegas - ditto

Maybe a fourth episode will appear for Fallout 4. However, I cannot pinpoint an exact release date. It may even take years for me to finally have a better gaming computer (in a worse case scenario).

Desert Region 1 remake - Instead of fixing Desert Region 1 for Morrowind, I have decided to remake this mod for Oblivion with extra quests, bug fixes and of course, better graphics and LOD (level of detail). If I should receive a gaming laptop this year, I will remake this mod straight after Desert Region 2. I will give the link to the download of the remake when it is finished right on this blog.

More to be announced soon.

First, I want to wish everyone a Happy New Year! I remember making my first ever mod (Desert Region 1), back in 2006. Those were good times and the future is still full of them.

I will be working on several projects at the same time (starting mid-January), both my own original mods and helping people on their mods. They will be:

1). Desert Region 1 and 2 (I will further edit them both)

2). Desert Region 3 (for both Oblivion and Fallout 3)

3). Neronix17's Stargate Mod

..and a secret project that I have been working with my uncle.
Look out for an announcement for all four projects in mid-January. :)

Meanwhile, Happy New Year and have a great 2010! :) :)

This is to inform about the upcoming Desert Region 2 release, plus my future projects. Firstly, Desert Region 2. I really appreciate how the interest in my mod was maintained for 3 years. I know I have been saying over and over again that a specific version would be the final release. I have fully played through Desert Region 2 and I have put down on paper what I have to fix. I have done most of the work just last weekend. I have added an upgradable amulet which can teleport you to quest areas, greetings are added to certain NPCs and I have added more maps to Northern Moscow (which can only be accessed after the main quest). I will release the next release when I feel it is ready; which might not even be in Q1 2010. The worst, it might be released in Q4 2010.

Concerning future projects, I have mentioned a third installment of Desert Region in past blogs. Modding on the Source engine felt a bit daunting and it did not have much of the features that I wanted (hardly any support for voice acting, collectable items...etc). I am saving up for a gaming rig so I could run the next generation of games on my computer.

Desert Region 3 will be in two parts. The first part will be for Fallout 3 and the second part will be for Oblivion.

But what about after Desert Region 3? Let us wait and see :)

AND MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR! :)

The development for my Ashes of Apocalypse add-on "Desert Region 2: The Final Frontier" will continue as long as fans are still interested in it. Even if Desert Region 3 will be made, I will make DLC anyway, but with new characters only.

I'll be continuing development, this weekend at the latest. I'll fix the problems with The Ballad of The Missing Marat and I'll connect it to another DLC. Be aware that all DLC will need the main download to work. Happy gaming :)

PS: Here's my mod project timeline:

Desert Region 1 - (2006-2007)
Desert Region 2: The Final Frontier - (2007-present)
Desert Region: The 9th Chapter - (2009)
Desert Region 3 - (hopefully project will start in Q2 2010)
