This is not a bug, but could use some clarification in the UI. The Totems only last ten seconds, but will also disappear if you walk too far from them. It costs mana to create a totem, the mana cost will be added to the weapon description in an update.

Magic increases the power of heals/buffs but not the duration. Healing and regeneration from skills are flat points unless the skill states otherwise.

If you press accept all the way through and continue your game, you will be able to reconfigure your controls from the in game options. The custom direction key bug only effects the main menu. An update fixing this bug will be up as soon as possible.
