didn´t noticed a difference other than the game freezes shortly if you want to reinforce the map with them, played at first without the 4gb patch on GoG did run smooth as before.
I made them 32 bit .tga files and changed the filename to .dds, the engine dosn´t want to read the tga alpha channel
is this gonna be used by Jer in the mod? or your personal submod or something like that?

How the performance with the uncompressed textures? I assume you used .tga, or .dds with 888-8 32 bit compression.
