if the game crash when you try open the exe with an error like this:
"FATAL ERROR in Vertex Shader compilation
ShaderName: fxBloom
D3DXCompile failed - result
at gml_Object_objBloomOverlay_Draw_0"
then you may have an outdated version of directX. You can try update it or if you can't do that, you have to go in your appdata folder->local->beardedbear and create a file named "options.ini" with this inside:
[options]
bloom="0"
crt="1"
fullscreen="1"
this file will disable the bloom shader and the game should run fine
Thank you for the feedback. I know, "classic parallax" is inverted here, but I made that on purpose since the platforms are always in the same spot. If I let the foreground move faster than the background then the game will feels even stranger since there will be a "faster" layer between two "slow/still" layer (the platform layer and the background layer). I'll try anyway to find a solution ;)
I found out that it should be a problem with your DirectX, try update it here : Microsoft.com
