@Sadelis The installer runs a registry check to look for a retail or steam install of Max Payne 2. If you're running a Windows installation (emulated or otherwise), the installer should pick up on your install.
A zip/rar release would have no such check for a Max Payne 2 install, and since the game itself doesn't require MP2 to run, the check is necessary since the game uses the MAX-FX engine for free.

Haven't seen this happen myself - have you tried running the game on all HIGH settings? (In the launcher, click Options, then 'high' in the lower left)

The round timers are set in the level files, each of which are at least 30 megs - copying the levels with different timers isn't difficult on my end, but it means that for every time option I add, it adds at least 150 mb to the filesize. Sorry :<

I would like to release an mp2m, but Max Payne 2 restricts the number of weapons you can have in an mp2m release. If you can find some way to fit 11 weapons into a mod file, I'm all ears.

The game has been uploaded and is awaiting authorization from ModDB.
Download is coming today or tomorrow when I get the installer back from our programmer.
