Omg dude Thx you just solved my Roe problems.
I have Doom 3 BFG Edition, and I have been trying to find a way to make the player character in Resurrection of Evil wear the helmet he is seen wearing in the opening scenes during normal gameplay, but when I try to use the helmet model, available in files that are used in the opening scenes and from the scene with a Marine using the 'grabber gun', the game crashes. Can you make a mod that allows the player to wear the helmet during normal gameplay?
Ok so here is what I did I tried putting The ROE marines helmet on the other marine.It worked but the helmet is on his neck instead of his head
I also tried to use Revilitys helmet from the ruiner.But it doesn’t work with cutscenes which just sucks
How did you get those files???.Also I’m personally working on an addon for the BFG Edition.I recommend you see Arls helmet addon for the BFG edition and use It as a base.I personally just want to change the marine of ROe to the original marine.Also he takes of his helmet in the first scene which is kinda weird that’s why I haven’t made an addon like that.Again look at Arls work and make your addon as similar as possible to his
Hello! did you manage to change the DOOM ROE marine with the original DOOM 3 marine? I just played RBDOOM 3 BFG with the original marine with the ARL helmet mod and looks more Badass. I have looked for a mod that changes the marine of the DOOM ROE BFG campaign with the original DOOM 3 marine and wearing his helmet. I just read your comment by chance, and I think your idea is phenomenal, from what I see, this conversation thread is from a few years ago, I hope you have a mod that you can share to switch from the ROE marine to the original DOOM 3 marine. it doesn't matter if the helmet is removed or not at the beginning of the opening scene. I would really appreciate it.

I use Doom 3 BFG Hi Def 3.0 Full Release and Arls Helmet Mod BFG Mod for Doom 3 Hi Def. You can find body models for the Resurrection of Evil helmet in "base\models\md5\cinematics\intro\" and "base\generated\rendermodels\cinematics\models\md5\cinematics\intro". They are labeled "player_helmet". The head models with the helmet are in "base\models\characters\npcs\heads" and "base\generated\rendermodels\md5\characters\npcs\heads". They are labeled "hxp_helmet". Material files can be found with a search. I have tried to label files for the Resurrection of Evil helmet model to replace the Resurrection of Evil head model. I have also been trying to find a way to give other Marines seen in the BFG Edition version of the Doom 3 campaign the tan armor they wore in the original version of Doom 3 while allowing the player character to keep the green armor.
