Players are not separated.
The game is out only 3 months. There hasn't been any proper promotion other than here on Desura and ModDB. We are still at the beginning of the road. Also, it depends on time of day, sometimes its 150 players.

It's not a platformer. It's a side-scrolling MULTIPLAYER WAR GAME.

Many players are paranoid about griefers so they will kick everyone that they suspect. Can't do much about that. The limit is so low because if it is higher then actual griefers don't get kicked because not enough votes. As you see it is a hard issue. I will raise the limit of 3 higher though, for players with better score.

I think your connection just might be bad. If the ping is over 300 you might get kicked from most servers. Try a different one where it is better.

Yes it's Irrlicht engine.
Next release will feature new tile graphics, we'll see if you like it more :).

How long have you played approximately?

There is a 2 minute warmup period before the game begins. Server owners can extend this period, so it is possible!

Hey, I was thinking of gliding on the Knight's shield :)

Knight combat and archer shooting will be completely revised in the next version. Should be much more fun (for example: charged attacks). It will be released beginning of next week.

Hey, the graphics are stylized to look like a SNES game. Hence the pixels. If it were to look nicer we'd probably redraw the game.

Also, you can zoom-out using mouse scroll.

Just wanted to mention what you get additionally in the alpha that you won't get in any other version. When you buy this alpha version you get the possibility to play and co-develop the game with me. We have an active forum were we are actually building this game with the fans. Nothing is set in this game, I add and modify things according to my and the fans ideas.

It is the Link-Dead Alpha version which will be available for a couple months.

When I have a bit of time (I'm adding more gameplay stuff now) I'll compile the game for Linux and OSX.

I'm not planning on a subscription model at this point.
If you don't want to pay then OK. I can just say the game is awesome and even for an alpha worth at least 20$. Instead I ask only for whatever you can pay me for it.
