Hello everyone, my name is Nate and I'm a 26 year old college student enrolled with Westwood College in their Game Art and Design program for my Bachelor's of Applied Sciences. My main focus is on modeling, texturing, animating and concept work but in the future I hope to establish myself as a Game Designer and found my own development company. My contributions to ModDB have been varied thus far and continue to grow as I move along towards my future career. I was the lead modeler and animator for the PSP project Prime which is currently in hiatus. My other work can be seen throughout the site. I am soon about to offer a variety of video tutorials ranging on various subjects including modeling, texturing, animating and exporting of low poly assets/characters for video games. As well I host a monthly self-imposed challenge in which I model a new model every week based on a monthly topic of the community's choosing. Hah, yeah, kind of. The initial concept is undoubtedly better than the model, and it was just a bored random sketch by one of my friends. The ultimate idea was to model this completely and have it 3d printed so he could have a tangible piece of his own artwork. It never made it that far but it's a nice idea later on. This was well before I started to really understand sculpting in 3d, as can be seen in the final culmination of my experience doing the Flash model (which came long after this one).

Description

This was a sculpt done based on a random concept by one of my friends. This was essentially the first complete thing, as well as the first real concept, I did in ZBrush to help me learn the software and teach myself how to digitally sculpt. There's probably a more finished version lurking somewhere in the depths of my hard drive but I'm keeping this one as the final.
