Actually, at the beginning I planned so much more for this game but the development has been taking me more time than I though and I started to loose the momentum, so I had to cut down many features...
Originally, this game was mostly an adventure game where you drive your car in a large wasteland infested by aliens and have to fight bandits while talking to other survivors to know where to find goods, and this petrol station was just one of the places in this large wasteland!
But I started to exceed the time dedicated for this project and I had to redesign the game to make it shorter and at least release it on Steam to see how it would be received by the players.
Unfortunately, I missed the play-testing with some minor "last minute" changes in the code causing glitches in the launch release. And then some popular youtubers broke the game just before I fix it resulting in completely destroying my game reputation...
Despite this, I had at least some good feedbacks and I will continue to work on the game !

I am also feeling like many people are bashing my game for the sole purpose of bashing something...
I don't know if it is because my game is an action FPS which makes some people to think I'm trying to compete with Fallout 4 or Battlefield, but some people hate my game so hard that even those who gave a good rating on Steam are being harassed and I have even received some death threats by PM !
I am also wondering how a lot of AAA games had large issues during their launch but without actually triggering such anger from these people, for instance : Youtube.com or Youtube.com
Anyway, I have handled the situation by simply responding calmly to all honest people who gave me their feedbacks or asked me questions.
So despite this, I am not angry and I am currently working hard on the game to add more levels and aliens, and to improve the current one !

Also planned support for Mac OS X, support for Multiplayer Coop, more survival maps including some with infinite waves and possibly a community map editor with ability to install custom maps in the game and play it online.

Yes, although during my play tests I have been testing the game for many hours and managed to finish it about 3-4 times, I am just working on fixing the bugs that Jim had and I will update the release soon.

I am currently having some troubles with completing administrative forms, but the game itself is ready and has been approved on Desura and Steam ! It will be published as soon as I solve the problem with the forms.

It's something I have been thinking even before I started working on this project !
I remember the last time I tried tweaking the FOV with UDK I had some glitches like muzzle flash not being properly aligned or some parts of the arms and the weapon not being displayed.
But it's actually an easy feature to implement, I will try adding it to the settings menu !

Hey ! A small summary of the progression since the last news :

What is left to do :
- Finishing the HUD and menus
- Voice acting

- Add feedback system
I will submit the game to Desura soon ! For the moment it is quite stuck at ~80% at Steam Greenlight due to the lack of press coverage, but I hope it will be better after the release of the playable version.
Hmm... I'm not familiar with the splitscreen method myself. Actually I didn't know it existed in UDK ! I tried DebugCreatePlayer 1 but I got a "command not recognized"...
So it seems it's not there any more, maybe because I'm extending my classes from UDK code and not UT3 code ?

Well ... I agree but I find that these odd animations for the aliens are actually making the game even more funny !
Now I had some troubles making good anims for quadriped creatures and I have to say I rushed it a bit since I still had to do all animations for the 9 weapons of the game (and each weapon requires equip, fire, reload, drop, lower, upper anims) plus all animations for the character in the cinematic of the trailer !

Ah yes, you mean when the aliens get so close to the player that you can see "inside" them ? It's because I haven't correctly set their collision boxes and made their melee attack animations.
It's something I will have to fix in the final release, thank you for reporting !

Unfortunately no, UDK doesn't support consoles for now and since it is no longer being updated, it will certainly never do. But depending of the success of the game, I may port it to another engine which support consoles and also mods/custom map editor.
Well, for now I don't plan to make it free to play but only a cheap price for the full game.
I have been working a lot on the graphics and I have updated the screenshots, I hope you will like it ! Now I still have to re-make the trailer...
Cheer for the vote ! I still haven't see how UDK handles the multiplayer... but I will work on it after I'm done with the graphics.
