I just started having this issue too on my own machine! New Windows version w/ fresh Amnesia install from Steam. I got it to cooperate by turning all the settings down to bare minimum for that part. Why it's an issue just now is beyond me. Hope this helps!

Kentie's uses the Zodiac.ini and ZodiacUser.ini in your Documents/Deus Ex/System/ directory. Try copying the ones in your main game folder into there. That worked for me.

Double check and make sure Zodiac.ini has the line:
DefaultGame=Zodiac.MyGameInfo

And ZodiacUser.ini should have this near the top:
Class=Zodiac.PaulDentonPlayer

Hey buddy I just noticed your Simulacrum review where you asked about Ephemeral Rift appearing in the credits. I used one of his CC license sound effects from his freesound.org page ( which I would link here but it seems to have been taken down). If you remember a throaty chanting/droning sound that appears a couple times in one of the maps, that's him :)

Have you found the chalk stick in that area? Go back up to the starting area of that dungeon and climb up to the shrine. In front of where there's supposed to be a bridge, use the chalk on the ground.

No, I still don't know what's causing your crashes. Since it's only happened to you (so far, no one else has reported this) it might just have to do with your system. Without any more information I can't help you. If you provide your HPL.log after a crash like I asked before, I can at least start there.

Could you copy your hpl.log to Pastebin.com and link it here? You can find hpl.log in Documents\Amnesia\Main

If you head downstairs through the prison area (in the Consumption), it's kind of a maze but if you make it to the other side there's more.
