Even with this installed I still don't have crosshairs for some reason.
Edit: for some reason you have to go into the console and type "crosshair 1"
Is there any way that I could only use the graphics improvement without the gameplay changes? I'd like to use my own mod for that.
Is it me, or does it seem like the enemy shields have a shorter recharge time than even my own. I find it a bit annoying, especially when fighting the YMIR mechs, or god forbid, 2 at once
Yeah, that makes a lot of sense. I wouldnt want to go back to the ME1 days of waiting for heat dissipation
Hey flash, thanks for the mod. I got this primarily for change #3 so biotics and Adept classes are useful. I dont think the Geth pulse rifle should be so powerful. One of the biggest things about it is that it has absolute accuracy so it's a bit unfair compared to the Avenger.
One thing I wanted to ask of you is if you could make a small change to the ammo system. As it stands, you expend your heatsinks like ammo clips. Since they are supposed to be heatsinks, I was wondering if you could change it so that it slowly cools down over time. Keep the ammo system like it is, but have the "bullets" in the gun recharge slowly.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didnt Paranoia mod have DLL's that made VAC angry? This mod also comes with DLL's that go into the root Half-Life folder.
Call me crazy, but any DLL's are a VAC no-no, I'm sure, right? In another post, I was responded to by editor321 saying that the bloom was hard coded in this mod, and not a DLL, yet here are 2 DLL's in the folder I downloaded and unpacked.
What ever happened to Invasion redux? I like the mod but I cant stand playing it with such low def stuff, and I havent found anything high-def for it. BTW, great job guys... looking forward to it, I've been holding out playing it again for this.
I'm sure this has been answered before though, but arent a lot of bloom things in HL1 banned by VAC? It was the same thing with that Paranoid mod (or something, it was Russian) that came out last year.
Also, could you please put the damage factors in the skill.cfg file? You have them commented out since you say they are hard coded. There's a few things I'd like to tinker with (I've always been that way).
BTW, the mod is great and it's only gotten better over the years
Does the grenade launcher on the m4 seem a bit weak to anyone? seems even weaker than the one in the regular game... Also, it takes about 4 or 5 rockets to kill a tank, and those are expensive. Is it possible to up the damage or penetration on those?
How can I flip them back to left handed? I've got lots of custom weapon models that are built on the left handed default style but the modeller made them right handed. Now it's like a double negative and they go back left handed due to your changing it.
Is it a simple console command? If you release a patch, can you put something in the Advanced tab of the controls for the swapping? The only thing I found in there is whether the bullets eject left or right (which obviously had to be switched in this case).
Could you PM me a simple script? I'd like to give it a shot. I'd probably be better at Simon, but I might be able to do some effects to "muffle" the voice for the gas-mask guy
Then I might just add it to my modwatch list. We'll see how it turns out. Hopefully we wont see a repeat of events like with that 'other' mod. I'll try to find some time to give the demo a shot. Someone tell me how it is. (didnt KotF release a "demo" too? I think it was just some slightly edited files and maps)

I'm not trying to push you to release it faster. Take all the time you need to release it. My only gripe is when people set release dates and then push them back repeatedly. Set one and meet it, or dont set one at all. That way you dont dissapoint when the day rolls around. You can take all the time you want/need to do a good job.
I've always loved the predator/aliens movies, and I LOVE to see a good representation of them in a video game. I would prefer that you take some time to polish things off, and I thank you for being one of the few to take on such a project (relating to one of those sets of movies).
Release date pushed back twice so far (that i've seen) was originally sept 12th, then 15th, now he says the 18th. Vaporware? We shall see.
Anyone ever seen the mod Knights of the Force for Jedi Academy? That was funny. Lets hope it doesnt apply here too.

I had a mod before that had bloom or something like it (paranoia). Yours has that too, will it have the same VAC problem that paranoia had? I know this was probably asked many times before, but I dont recall seeing an answer, sorry.
Would it be possible to hack some of the weapons in? I mean, keep the same system that you have set up with counter-life, but extract the gun models/sounds, hack up some weapon scripts/configs from what you already have in terms of counterstrike weapons, keep your ammo system. For example, for the garand, hack up the deagle, change its model/ammo count/damage/penetration. See what I mean? For the Thompson, make an edit on the UMP45. Im not talking full programming code extraction, I'm talking a hackjob, its much simpler (i've fooled around with some modding myself, and I've always found hackjobs to be relatively quick/easy by comparison).
Dont mind me, I'm just throwing ideas around. Please let me know your thoughts.
Sorry, I havent been to HIT in some time. I only occasionally visit to see whats new. Unfortunately, I've never really could fit into the community. That is probably why I have not heard of you.
I hope you arent claiming all of this as your own works. Most of this stuff can be found on hl-improvement site and is made by many people. I recognize most of those models. Do you have the original creators of those models' permission? Have you included proper credits?

I love "Paint It Black". It's just so classical to the Vietnam Era. It's on the beginning of that show "Tour of Duty" and the end of Full Metal Jacket.

BTW, i didnt really like the fact that I had to throw down my shotgun to pick up an SMG that would last me for about 30 seconds. Same thing with the 3 different pistols. Is there any real difference to them other than ammo count? A couple times i basically just LOST 20 bullets because i picked up a beretta (throwing away my glock) and then the next level loaded in the next hall. I wasnt even able to go back and pick them up. Could you PLEASE change that in a patch or something?

Please could you make this version not so dark? The last version was incredibly so overly dark. Either that or make the flashlight a little brighter/bigger/longer lasting...
And finding my way thorugh the forest was extremely tedious.
Will single player levels be included in this release or only multiplayer?
In my opinion, Half Life 1 was a much better game. There also seem to be many more quality mods for it
