The entire mod isn't canon so why even bother removing parts of the original?
Half-Life doesn't even have an official canon.

The problem here is that this is probably the person's very first real attempt at Hammer Editor and decided for no good reason to release it as a "mod" even though it has no substance.
No gameplay, design or anything really.
