*Kain Talus looked down at the planet Erilnar. A mostly backwater world but in the last 28 years under his direction it has been transformed into a semi industrial world. He stood as its leader, or warlord as others of his ilk were now being called. The title did not matter to him. He had simply taken advantage where he had seen fit.

He remembered back all those years ago... to the fall of the empire. Kain had been an imperial admiral at the time, stationed at Bilbringi. In the end Kain had secretly come to despise the Emperor. His evil ways were sick and his methods of leadership cruel. Kain could see the end of the Empire near with every gain the Fel Empire and Galactic Alliance made.

Kain held command of the Bilbringi system and all military forces that were stationed there. Mostly ships in phases of construction or repair were present at all times. His personal flagship, a Mark II Praetor called the Endurance, had just finished construction in those finals days..

Once news hit of Empire forces collapsing around the galaxy, Kain had seen enough and knew what fate awaited the forces under his command and Kain himself. Gathering the remaining Imperial forces in the system, which included a pair of Pellaeon class Destroyers nearing completion but able to move under their own power, four Ardent Class cruisers, and three Vigil class Corvettes, he summoned all leadership under him to a clandestine meeting aboard the Endurance.

He expected resistance or even mutiny as he explained his fears and plans going forward, but to his surprise many wanted to join and there were plenty who felt the same as he did. Agreeing that they all would rather flee than risk prison or execution, they agreed it was best to find a place to lay low, and the outer rim seemed the perfect place to do so. Rounding up as many naval and army troops from the system as he could, Kain Talus set off in search of a new home..

As they traveled and skirted by Republic forces and Fel Empire forces, Kain stumbled upon some old Imperial intel of something called the Centrality. A backwater sector with few if any warships but most importantly away from most of the known galaxy. Deciding that would be where they would make their new home, they proceeded to the Oseon system.

As the small task force exited hyperspace inside the Oseon system, the first of the Centrality, a small force of ships greeted their arrival. A single outdated Imperial I class star destroyer flanked by a pair of Raider class corvettes stood guard over the main planet and near a Golan-II station.

"You have entered neutral Centrality space. We want no part in your galactic wars. Please leave. We do not want to bring war to our Sector." A message was relayed over the system channel.

"We come in peace and mean you no harm, we are fleeing from the conflict. Refugees. We only seek a new home and a place to seek shelter." Kain said in response.

"Such mightily armed you are for refugees. Enough firepower to handle most threats on your own. We do not wish to fight you, you may pass. But, given your strength of arms if necessary you will be called on to fight when needed." a reply came back.

"Of course, anything in return for safety and refuge." Kain replied, relieved that he would not have to fight his way through.*

*Once allowed entry into the sector, the Imperial task force made its way to the capitol of the Centrality, Erilnar. Here many made their home, either on the large space station long abandoned or the planet itself. Kaine took control of the system with ease, those on the planet fearing open war with the mighty task force. Eventually the rest of the Centrality itself soon found itself under control of Imperial forces, not having the firepower to stand up to the task force.

But unlike previous rulers and leaders of the Empire, Kaine restored a majority of the power back to the senate that stood on Erilnar, preferring to become its Sovereign Protector instead. With the military behind him, it essentially made him the de-facto leader or warlord as they were calling him now.

However, he let the Centrality rule itself. Resolve its issues on its own. Its people knew themselves better than Kaine did, it was not his place to dictate their lives.

He made peace with the galaxy as best as he could, establishing commerce and opening the lanes up into the mostly unknown sector. He slowly started industrializing the planet of Erilnar itself, and restored the space station that overlooked the planet.

Kaine expanded its dockways and and modernized its systems, providing a stable home to the newly named Imperial Centrality Navy. The forcesthat followed him into the unknown now respected him greatly, thankful that their lives were spared prison sentences or worse. They adapted to their new life styles and home with ease and got along great with the native populations.

The systems of the Centrality were deeply impressed with Kaine's transfer of power back to the Senate and with the projects Kaine put into action that brought many jobs to the various systems in the Centrality. The trade brought in by opening up the space lanes further deepened their respect of Kaine.

Now in 160 ABY later Sovereign Protector Kain Talus had control of a mighty force, a sector, and held the love and respect of its people. But Kain had heard rumors and received messages from other Warlords around the galaxy. Some wanted War, others wanted to remain as they were and at peace. No Warlord wanted to risk loosing their power or military forces. Military forces that were almost impossible to replace..

Kain was strict about his policies, neutrality and peace. Though the senate on Erilnar was now whispering about why such a mighty force still needed to exist. They had no enemies to fight, the greater galaxy ignoring the Centrality and leaving them in peace..

He knew not where the galaxy was headed, though he feared war was on the horizon. And he knew he would do everything he could to prevent it from coming to his part of the galaxy. Kain would keep his people safe, no matter what.
