Hi, if you right click on the zip file and select "Extract Here" this should solve your problem. If the zip file is incorrectly extracted the game will not be able to find the map data, hence the black screen.

Thanks for the heads up on the bug, we will fix it ASAP and upload a new Beta soon. At the moment we are still working on balancing the gameplay so the difficulty will change before the final release.
