I didn't put the latest release behind any sort of a paywall ! Donations are and were optional. The latest files are still downloadable on gamepressure for free. It is really discouraging when people complain for no reason. It really makes me hesitate to update the renderer. But isn't it you who is putting mods behind a Patreaon wall : Moddb.com

Do you think by rating someone's work as useless you encourage them to work on it further ? What pleasure will I have by updating the renderer if the players rates me bad ?

Thanks for claryfing some things without spitting hate.
I thought that patch 469 developers were working for Epic as was the case with Revision mod for Deus Ex where the modders were paid by Steam. My mistake.
I explicitly implemented an option to disable the PayPal link.
So everybody knowledgeable could disable it.
It was even well described on PCGaming Wiki.

Why no one is making complains when they have to pay for a mod or a feature ? Take for example mods only available on Patreon.

This is really astounding how people thank to software developer for making a great free content to their beloved games. So they can enjoy playing it once more with better graphics. Guess some of them grab everything for free whether pirated or not and are disgusted with optional donations.
XOpenGL and patch 469 were developed from UT original source with Epic Games supervision. The developers earned some money for making them.It wasn't all about volunteering.

Hello everyone,
The latest versions of DirectX 11 renderer were removed from MODDB.
The reason is reportedly programmed paypal link which didn't caused any troubles for the last 3 years. But I think that maybe Epic Games wants to remove Unreal Tournament 99 and Unreal from the memory of the players completely and suggested removal of the renderer from this website(It was the most downloaded UT mod on MODDB). As they cancelled sales of their games three months ago. I suggest everyone to grab the latest version from gamepressure before it may disappear completely from the internet. On the contrary if some player didn't like free content and contacted moderators and reported that paypal link might be against moddb rules then I'm sorry for that.Making this mod costed me a lot of efforts like learning DirectX11 API, solving non-standard programming problems, bypassing Engine limitations, programming difficult shaders etc. This wasn't about modding the games with tools released by developers or upscaling textures with oneclick tools as the most mods on moddb are made.It was writing in C++ a new part of the game which developers 20 years ago only dreamt about.I made it free so everyone could enjoy playing these old games with modern graphics.I often read comments complaining on different things with bitter taste and sorrow. The positive comments were a miniority. If I worked on this again I would uploaded my work directly to Patreon than here..

Try to set it in the game's ini file. That is System. ini for CBU I think.

If anyone is wondering how to get this renderer to work on Linux/Wine here's a great tutorial:

This method should also work for the rest of the games.

No there should be only one texture folder. Just merge this texture folder with the game's texture folder.

Try switching fast alt tab on. Eventually it should work on fullscreen windowed.

I use take screenshot button which is F9 by default.
Maybe try to disable HDR if you see them darker or more washed out.

No , it is a very different engine indeed.

The crashing in higher resolutions isn't the renderer issue.
It is the game issue. There is a bug in the Engine.dll which causes the game to crash. It was a little bit fixed by the widescreen patch which has a hacked Engine.dll library supplied. But the game still crashes with it but less frequently. I do not recommend to use widescreen patch - or replacing Engine.dll as it will cause Coronas misalignment.

Try to install version 227i or 226b the renderer doesn't support other versions of the game.

The renderer is a part of code used by the game to present it's final graphics to the user. It is not a separate engine on which I emulate something.Firstly the game developers didn't ever realesed any code to the public(they did it for Rune, UT,DX and UG). I myself reversed engineered the code needed for making this renderer. I admit I didn't figure out how shadows are drawn because their disassembly code is quite complicated.I cannot add functinality of loading external files to the original renderer because I don't have its source code neither dx7 does support high res textures with compression at all.

Thanks!
Yeah if you are using screen space reflections(ssrs) along with parallax occulsion mapping which are enabled by default then the maps are pretty mandatory. They greatly improve image quality for example by making ssrs curve on bent surfaces(like bricks).
They won't decrease performance at all so I highly recommend to install them.

If I would continue to work on other games they also would know I could port it with one click to ut 99. I don't want to bother them.

Tessellation in deus ex has some bugs hence it is disabled.
POM should be enabled by default. I recommend Berzerker's parallax addon for playing with it.
DetailTextures, HighDetailActors, Coronas, ShinySurfaces, VolumetricLighting these are engine default settings which most of the renderers implement. There is no reason not to keep them on.
FullMeshLOD can have adverse effect on performance on some machines as it disables LOD for mesh models which are drawn in far distances.
Pretty all options are set optimal on default. Change only some of these :HDRLuminance,HDRAdaptationSpeed, ASSAOScale, ASSAOContrast to your likings.

Yeah the the renderer does some heavy computions on the GPU side. For 1080p I recommend at least gtx960 for full settings. On gtx850m maybe try to disable SSR to get the most performance in 1080p

To conclude what I discovered some time ago.
I cite myself here:
"If you are using Undying Renewal 1.1 with DX 11 I recommend to replace Engine.dll with the original file after installing Undying Renewal. Then disable updates in the launcher.
This way you won't have to disable Coronas in the renderer settings ! "
