Hmmm, that's a new error. What type of computer are you using?
Right now the system requirements are pretty low, a GeForce 8800GT should be fine.

Nope, thanks for bringing it to my attention. It seems they picked the name recently. I have requested they change it to something not already in use.
Awesome, glad you are a fan!
The Mech editor has been completely redone in the latest Alpha release, as well as all the part stats (like recoil).
The animation is not final, it's just place holder right now. I don't plan on spending a lot of focus on final art until Beta.
You will be able to paint and decal your parts in the future.
Thanks for the feedback!
Hey, that sounds awesome. Actually on of the big items people have been requesting is Mod support, so I have been planning for a way to allow that.
It's complicated, but I definitely want to support custom parts and maybe maps.
I am HEAVILY inspired by chromehounds. It will not be exactly the same, but it will undoubtedly be similar.
Is this in the Demo or the Alpha build?
There is a known bug in the demo that the mouse gets hidden after declining the update. Just hit alt+tab and you can get your mouse back.
Yep, the terrain has not got much love yet, but it's on the list!
I am sticking more towards 'big, lumbering war machine' versus 'jet engine with legs'.
MAV is much closer to Chromehounds then it will be to armored core
That is the plan. There are a lot of cool things we can do because it's not on consoles that we plan to fully take advantage of.
Thanks a ton! Always good to hear people are liking it.
Sorry, I forgot the readme in the latest upload :(
You need to set weapon groups in the editor. You can access this by pressing 'e'. Here you setup how your weapons fire together.
In game, left mouse fires, 'c' switchs between weapon cam and 3rd person, 'e' and 'q' cycle the selected weapon group. WASD is for movement.
I hope that helps. I will have a newer build in a few days also, I will try to make better instructions. (I try to put out an update every week)
Bizarre builds are encouraged, but there is a key difference. Parts can be destroyed, so be careful what you attach to weak parts.
This also means you can 'peel back' the armor to properly expose the cockpit when fighting.
Not only build your Mech piece by piece, but also (in the future) build each PART piece by piece. So you can take a sniper barrel, put it on a heavy mount, pick the ammo drum, choose the scope, and all those parts combine into a weapon that has your custom stats now. What is in the game now, shows a bunch of the combinations, but you cannot build each weapon up yet.
