It seems that it is not clear to everyone that there is a huge difference between a programing language and a game creator which provides an engine..

As for pricing, since content will be added and this is my first game for sell, it is rather not much money at all. It will go up when it is in release mode ;)

I reset the price to fit the actual level content. I really worked long and hard on this in the free time I have from my job. But, yes with more levels to come the price was lowered.

This is a version error. Update your Java and run the game again :)

Java should mostly be downward compatible; I will see what I can do to find where the problem is.

Since this build is some days past, it was not compiled with Update 11. I just updated to Update 11 today. There will be a next version, which will be compiled with Java 7 Update 11.

You need the Java SE JRE 7; there are some light versions of java but you need this one :)

Important for citizens moving into your town are the taxes (in the statistics menu) and all of the infrastructure being near the citizens houses. In the next update on the game, it will provide a tutorial ;)

No, i found the graphics on the internet, they are free for non-commercial use.

All houses of citizens must be in range of all infrastructure. The range of the infrastructure building is indicated by the grey area which is shown when you move the ingame cursor to the infrastructure building. In a version to come, a deeper help system will provide more information.

Unpack all that is in the .rar package and then run IMayor.jar. I tried it on different computers and it worked :)

did you unpack all that the jar contained? so the IMayor.jar and the "data" folder? I tried it on different computers, it worked. I am sorry for the trouble with the demo. :)
