This video is old, but show that:
Yes, that's something I had thought of, isolating areas of the map with translucent walls as they are finished.
But you still have to have something to do in those areas. Maybe a survival or small missions independent of the main one, which won't be able to work until the game is finished.
Hey, thanks for the message. I'm not tired of working on the game, on the contrary, I'm looking forward to seeing it finished. But the amount of work is insane. We're two people working on free time now, but still, it's too much work that takes time.
I don't want to work in any company, my intention is to be able to finish this game and publish it. What I can't find is a way to release a playable demo, without having it at least 50% finished.
Perhaps with a mod.
I don't know :)
What are the scenes H?
I think a CPU with almost 2.5 GHz and a GPU like the GTX 660 will be enought to run the game at 30 fps.
My current PC is an I7 4790K with a GTX 960, and runs over 60 fps most of times.
Anyway as the map is 10 x 10 Km, the framerate depends on where you are, where you are looking, how many bots there are simultaneously, etc.
It's not finished yet, sorry.
Yeah, that's the idea. But I still don't know how to make a demo without having all the missions done, or at least most of them.
Maybe just a unique survival mission, without going into the rest of the missions until later.
Current version number is -1.0
You can't yet, it's not ready, I'll post here and the other sites when I have a demo.
Yes, I'd like to use Patreon. Wildlife is a nice game with incredibly good graphics and animations. But Babylon Project is like a Skyrim type game (saving distance with Skyrim because this is an indie game).
I hope so. I was hoping to form a team of 100 to finish in a year, but in the end we are 2 and it will take 50 years. Be patient.
If you have problems to see the video, you can try here:
Yes, you are right, Patreon is a good option, but I think before I ask for money I have to offer a demo. The problem is that to finish a demo I have to advance a lot in the game, have the animations almost completed, the mission system working, most of the models, etc. And then, once published that demo, complete everything and polish it.
And this is taking me a lot of time and effort.
Yes, I have plan to go to Patreon or Early Access, but I want to offer a demo for that time.
And then with funding, finish the game.
But as you say, everything is very expensive in work and time.
I hope to finish a demo soon, but I don't know when.
You're the one asking the same question on youtube and other sites?
If so, how many times do I have to answer the same thing? I don't know what you want with this insistence.
I'm tired of answering this, please stop.
No, sorry, the engine is UDK and can't compile for the current generation of consoles. If the game is successful, it will probably be ported and improved to UE4 and then compiled for consoles.
Probably as a mod. Adult content bans the game in some online stores.
99% of comments are not from haters, but from people impatiently waiting for the game.
I'm impatient for finish too, but a game like this, even if it's an indie game, is a lot of work for just one or two people.
When I started I thought it would be easy to recruit 5 or 6 people to finish the game in a couple of years. But I was wrong.
I can't do more, I'm already spending practically all my free time working in the game, so I can only ask for patience.
Yeah, it's a provisional name.
