Hey Matt I've just downloaded your Alien Isolation mod for the insta kill pistol and it doesn't seem to be working as others have said in the comments, should i just try and reinstall it?

You probably have Half Life 1: Source as I do, unfortunately the mod is not compatible with it

Too bad ive got Half Life 1: Source, this game looks pretty awesome, at least i can play "Nightmare House" thats scary enough O_O

This mod is FANTASTIC the best singleplayer mod i've ever played, level design, lighting, sound (including good voice acting), pacing. It's totally flawless. Im only at the first elevator in the hospital and the game has actually managed to scare me a couple of times (not in the amnesia dark decent "I don't want to play this anymore" way though.

Thanks for the replies, I am had a look through the forums last night @legolose and it seems to be only me that is getting this error :S, also @scared9 Yeah I thought that was pretty strange ive never ever seen it before..i install it to the medieval ii directory but my computer seems to move it automatically to a folder called "mods" I guess thats right? Ill try and reinstall it all anyways thanks for the help :)

Also, i dont know if this is relevant but when i install part 1 it says something like "some files are write-protected do you want to write over these files" I just hit "yes" because i figured it was part of the mod, of course it will turn out that these are vital game files i have just oblitorated and now i have to reinstall kingdoms...also i definately put it in the right place.

The mod doesn't seem to be working for me, my rig is pretty awesome so thats not an issue, im running windows 7, I have kingdoms fully patched and all campaigns installed but when i try and play a campaign it begins to load and then when the loading bar hits the end I just get a black screen and dumped back on the desktop with no explination, bad install maybe? I got a few "program isnt responding" whilst installing it. Maybe I just need to download the whole thing again :S

Dont worry you can still get it, you just need to download Source SDK, its available for free in the "Tools" tab of your Steam client. Get that and it will work.

That music is absolutely FANTASTIC I love it as a big star wars fan :) i really cant wait for this mod to come out it looks absolutely amazing

Great, Great mod, you've out done yourselves to bring us a fully realised version of everybodies favourite alternate history scenario C&C:Red Alert :). I really enjoy playing it, most of the time this can be all i play for weeks. Some how though I had only come across a gap generator fot the first time yesterday. I was just wondering, the way that the gap generator creates a huge dark bubble which the enemy cannot see past. Does the Gap Truck - vehicle thing do the same? Will it shrowd you and your allies in a bubble of darkness? or does it simple turn you invisible?

I suppose that the stormtroopers are cloned from the best bounty hunter that the galaxy has ever known..yet in the movies cannot shoot straight :\ something got lost in translation i think =D. I get what you mean I wouldnt have thought that a blaster has any recoil either, but since playing "star wars: battlefront" which is an official star wars game produced by lucas arts, the blasters do have quite alot of recoil on the players hands :\ but I agree with you that there probably wouldnt be, were it real. I mean why would light have recoil?

Hmm maybe they can make him more sinister by giving him sith tatoos like darth maul, or like in Knights of the Old Republic, if you are a sith your skin becomes a greenish colour as your skin rots to match the state of your soul, also the pigment in the iris becomes red :O sinister :) anyways your right it is an absolutly amazing reward to recieve, im sure once they give him some "sith-y" traits and throw on some black robes and a cape he'll look great.

I can see what you mean by the way the weapon system works for the source engine because as you correctly point out, blaster shots do not move like a bullet at all, you guys are clearly true fans of the subject matter to notice these things which gives us all hope for the final release. The only thing I noticed in the video is that the hands of the player don't seem to move much when the weapon is fired but then that happens in most mods ive seen im not sure why :\ it must be really difficult to do or something. anyways good luck with the mod (hell you don't really need luck it looks awesome already) and also good luck with your exams too ;)

obviously not. let me rephrase the question. has this patch covered any crash issues which the last version had is what i meant.

I have a question. i liked this mod in the last version but it didnt like my pc. crashing it constantly so i was forced to remove it. Does this version still crash the users PC?

argh i was going to buy 2142 but i got battlefield 2 instead. well, guess ill just have to buy 2142 now *goes out now to buy* :)

you know what wouldnt be funny. if the mod didnt exist at all and theyd just made pretty screenshots. that isnt whats happened but id laugh if it did...and die a little inside
