You might try verifying the modkit or removing other mods, sometimes that fixes it for me.

This is a pretty good mod, but quick question are people allowed to use the HN2 rigs that you made for this in their mods?

That was a issue i couldn't seem to fix while making the patch, but a user named missing entity found out what was causing it, in order to fix it you have to replace the bp_human_child in each map that has it with the normal bp_human, that includes all of the cast to bp_human_child nodes (in the level blueprint) as well.

One problem with this however is that you're going to have to replay the intro level each time you quit and come back to it, because the main map crashes when you try to play it from there, but doesn't when you play it from the start here or intro map.

Yeah unfortunately standalone doesn't seem to work with Demo Build 1,
I tried to get it work, but it just doesn't want to work.
