wasn't this game originally just a mod for the PC which had old west with a steampunk aesthetic? Was it originally for Source?

No singleplayer. It would be great to have it but it took a monumental effort from these guys just to get to this point.
been looking forward to this for awhile. Keep up the great work guys.
Great work Hajas, thanks so much.
I really wish more people would try this. Its hard finding servers with enough people playing.
I doubt it since Smith & Tinker is shopping the Mechwarrior reboot around to publishers. It does show that the genre is far from dead though.
while I applaud all the participants, is it really fair to allow released and unreleased games to vie for "Players Choice" awards? What your doing to pitting relatively unknown games who haven't had a chance to build a fanbase against estblished and very popular mods. It comes down to a popularity contest of "most anticipated" rather than giving an award for hard work, imagination and creativity. To put it simply, its inherently unfair for all involved. Had this been an "editors Choice" where the editors could have gotten a glimpse of the code for the unreleased games then I'd have no issue.
MODDB really needs to rethink this category IMHO.
anyone know how to retrieve the serial for UT3 after its been uninstalled? I lost mine. I seem to remember there was a way to do this. The game certainly leaves behind a fair amount of files after its been removed.
Fantastic texturing on the repair gun guys.
Looks like the site is down. That can either viewed as good or bad.....
whoa! did Gabe drop some weight?
Looks and plays great guys. With the exception of a few small bugs it is near commercial quality.
what time will it be released?
are we there yet?

I meant to include "Brat" and "CDV" in the above post, not just CDV
Every criticism than CDV was accused of is well earned. They along with the original publisher foisted a completely broken, unfinshed game on a loyal fanbase. They made a smart decision to disband because I know I would've stuck with them to whatever game they were making to make sure to point out to the new fans that the developers were lazy, ego-centric eurotrash who could have cared less about delivering any value to customers. I hope these guys are coding low-end spyware in some eastern european sh*thole cuz thats where they belong.
About the only thing I can criticize is the jerky side-to-side motion of third person of character movement. Its pretty distracting.
Otherwise it looks fantastic.
To be perfectly honest, I kinda like the way the UT2k4 version was set up a little better. I like the differentiation the weapons had and the respawn gameplay.
This version is an amazing achievement but I guess I'm just being too nostalgic ;)
Congrats guys.
my god, what planet do you live on?
Half Life 2 is an amazing experience. Go get it....NOW! ;)
No work for me today so this is going to work out perfectly.
C'mon guys, lets get this show rolling!
you're giving us blue-balls guys, stop it.....stop it now.
its just a game, get a grip.
had a huge amount of fun playing the 2k4 version. Unfortunately word just didn't get around and it was tough to get a game together.
Looking at the Source version I beleive this will change. The game absolutely destroys CS in every way.
you guys deserve huge kudos for just sticking it out and actually attempting to finish what you started which is something 99% of the teams who have tried to do a BT mod have never done.
while its obvious you guys still have a ways to go in terms of polish and programming, I was still floored by the quality and ambition of this mods assets. You deserve kudos for sure.
The only thing I disliked is using the current generation of games insistence of using a "realistic" color palette. Simply put, it makes the game boring to look at and, by extension, boring to play. This has more of a detrimental affect than you may think.
Otherwise, I look forward to your future releases and wish you guys the best of luck. Great job!
I'd like to see the weapon upgrade system from Clear Sky used in SoC. It added a lot to the depth of play in my opinion
welp, Ubi came out with War World for XBLA and the PC and neither fared very well. The game fits the style you mentioned.
I think publishers underestimate the capacity for peoples enjoyment with a game that has complex, simulation-like aspects such as BT. Steel Battalion and Chromehounds (not to mention BT:3025 which had 30k active beta testers ready to pay the monthly fee before EA pulled the plug on the eve of its launch) all of which were quite successful given the type of games they were.
what I like about the art here is that it looks great and will run on many systems. Too much emphasis on graphics and not enough on gameplay is the problem with PC games IMO. These graphics are GOOD ENOUGH. I would absolutely love to see a remake of Battletech: 3025 done by these guys (the cockpits remind me a Battlemech)
How about it guys, there's still a big niche market for an online BT game and the only people doing work with the IP are modders. I'm sure MS would love to make some cash off of an IP thats mothballed presently.
I think they're still a few months away from a first release candidate. This thing has a ton content to contend with.....far more than the usual FPS/vehicular style mod.
I'd love to see someone port this game to the Source engine. At least the multiplayer anyhow.
