dpmapedit is a side project at creating a simplistic map editor (that should be exporting to both obj and q3 .map) inside of the darkplaces engine. Using a game engine framework will unlock unique abilities like the ability to compile and run right from where the player is and most importantly multi-player editing of a map.
This is a passive project with no set date of release or defined constraints, its simply for fun to do in the down time between other more important projects.
