Life is Feudal

Game review may contain spoilers

I've slowly watched this game evolve over the last 2 years from a few tech videos into a full blown release on Steam with over 100,000 copies sold. It truly is amazing to see it come this far. It currently is in Alpha and the titles can be at times confusing. Life is Feudal: Your Own LiF:YO is the Minecraftsque adaptation of its MMO form. Players can host their own private servers, fully mod them, play as GM's and use GM commands. The MMO is much more beefed up and larger scale adaptations in play and mechanics. In both versions one will strive to muster together with others and survive by any means. Start from humble origins and eventually work your way up to becoming a Lord of a massive citadel overlooking a surrounding village. You can cook, farm, cut own trees, mine, dig tunnels, alchemy, herbalism, hunt animals, tame animals, tame livestock, carpentry, stone masonry, you name it, if it was Feudal, it is in this game. This is an alpha title and there are many bugs still to be worked out, although the patches are released rather quickly now with the Steam Release. I def would recommend buying it on Steam.

Title was recently purchased by Mortal Moments, Inc. from Seatribe/Paradox. The new staff have greatly brought the game up to par, and is totally worth a new look at. Not the same game it use to be.

A super must try game. There is simply nothing like it. The ability to set off on your own at one point and change the stars with your very own planet within a given galaxy, populated by a player driven experienced content driven developed world all by yourself. Your own rule set, your own models and art. All where you want it and at your fingertips. A vast and neat scripting system and a world radio to define your own tracks of audio. Custom heightmaps, ect.

A worthy game to at least try. I've been around for 9 years almost now. And its free. Yes free.

Nuclear Dawn

Game review

This is one of the rather stronger and advanced games I have come across based off the source engine. The combination between the FPS and RTS is dead on, and on par as you would expect it to be. It has that nostalgic feel we all have from back in Savage(Early 2003) days. While I must say that some of the classes are little nerfed here and there, ideally the MP5 version sub machine guns that Stealths carry, and the accuracy of Exo chain-guns are absurd. Other than that, the classes are very ideal, and straight forward. Graphics are beautiful ad the game runs smooth on max settings. I myself don't experience sync issues or lag that often, even on a standard 3G connection. The biggest hit to the game is the population base, limited playability due to single game mode and limited maps. All in all, at the time I had purchased it, it was well worth it's 11.99 price tag. I cannot say that however at this moment, not at least until I see more updates for this game. You might prefer to track this game and put your seat belt on while you wait.
