Quite clever certainly got the message through.

Runespell is an interesting concept and for the most part is executed incredibly well. The overall gameplay is addivtive but the game overall is a little dented by some strange choices.

Why not replace the cards with spells or abilities, the money system in the game feels odd and out of place and isn't explained very well. It would be better to get rid of it entirely to save grinding needlessly which if you were to lose would be a quit game moment.

I look forward to more from this developer in the future and if they revisit Runespell, 2 words; Co-op Mode.

Had this been a free mod I wouldn't be nearly so harsh on it. However this is a full commercial release and the presentation is awful the gameplay is laughably bad and leaving in the original source sounds was the icing on the crap sandwich that is this game.

It could have been good but they squandered any chances of that with sloppy design choices and a dull and tedious gameplay type. Such a promising concept too.

An incredibly charming retro arkanoid RPG. This was worth every penny and any time I launch it I can't help but grinning.

It does have some minor irritations but they do not dent an other wise brilliant and good fun game. I really wish this had more marketing push behind it to get more people to try it.
