You likely need to add the dx9 final release to your system then, here's the video/download link Youtu.be

Did you use anything else also, or just this? This alone normally shouldn't make it unstable, but rather more stable.

I'll check into the issue and figure out what the problem is. Sorry I never got any notifications from this mod. You can try renaming the d3d9.dll to dxgi.dll and that may fix the issue. I'll check back myself later and update anything I find, seeing as the notifications don't seem to be working

It could be the enb is causing the issue. Try switching out the d3d9.dll with one of the alternates from the altd3d9 folder. Or you could download the ds3 reshade with sweetfx from here Nexusmods.com
If you find it looks a little different simply use the preset file from this one and replace the settings file used by the reshade and sweetfx one. You will need to rename the preset file to the sweetfx settings file name used by the reshade and sweetfx version, but once renamed an put in place of the other the effects will function normally.

Goto the game folder and the sweetfx folder, edit the sweetfx_settings.txt, under "Curves settings" change "define Curves_mode" from 2 to 0.

Download the newest version of winrar from the link, some older versions will give that error if they are older than the version used.

Hi,

Just drag and drop the contents of the download (folders included) into your game folder. C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Aliens vs Predator

Start the game in DX9 mode and you should see the enb running on start-up.

If you prefer to use the normal or dx11 launcher you use the reshade version linked on the description and install it in the same way.
Indiedb.com
Just launch in normal or dx11 mode.

OK sounds good.
I have my nvidia control panel set with "Optimize for Compute Performance" - On
and the "Power Management Mode" - Prefer Maximum Performance.

That will also help, and don't forget to use the ingame brightness to adjust the light levels after installing the add-on.

Otherwise, you should be good.
Let me know if there's anything else.

In real-time?

It adds additional enhancements to improve the look of the game. As seen here in this split-screen image.

Hi,

You can reduce the vibrance in the SweetFX_settings.txt. Change it to .10 and that should help bring down the saturation levels.

HDR settings will also effect that, but try the vibrance change first.

Anything else let me know.

Hi,

The fps shouldn't be locked at 30. I have no fps restrictions setup in my settings. I'll check a few things out, but normally that shouldn't happen.

As far as the darkness issue. Just above this comment, I spoke to another about the same issue. Look above 2 comments up and try the smaa alteration mentioned there. That normally will correct the darkness issue.

As far as the locked fps, do you have any custom settings for the game being used, besides this? A hardware program or such?
Just need to check a few things.

Get back to me.

Hi,
Yes that's an issue with the newest reshade version 4 updates.
You can run it fine without the update, or use a version 3 update or down and that will also work.

Yes

Also use the ingame brightness to help bring up your levels too.

I did notice that my HDRPower was a little higher then usual, you could drop it down to 1.25 or lower and that should also help.

Hi,

You want to goto the sweetfx/preset/ folder and alter the smaa line in the Dead Space2.txt file.
Change #define USE_SMAA_ANTIALIASING 1 to 0 and that will normally corect that issue.

You can also increase light and intensity with the HDR settings.
HDRPower is for game lighting, and radius2 is intensity.

Vibrance will effect saturation.

Also if you download the deadspace1 version, it has two preset files that can be used, the alt preset is set to a lighter level. Just take the preset file from that one and place it in the deadspace2 preset folder, then rename it to match the original preset name while renaming the old preset (just add an x to the end of the name) then it will use the alternate preset.

Hope that helps, let me know.

Hi,

Try increasing the games brightness to bring up the shadowed areas. I actually disabled the smaa line in the updated version, set the brightness to about 3/4 on the bar and that should help bring up those areas.

Also if you check the sweetfx preset folder that's where the settings file is located. I use mainly settings that will help to bring up the natural colors in the game and help to sharpen and improve it's over look with HDR, AA, Vibrance, Curves and other settings.

The vibrance line will help to reduce the saturation. Set it to 0.10 from the 0.30 setting.
The HDR lines will help to also bring up the lighting.
#define HDRPower 1.30 Change to 1.15 (brings up the shadows)
#define radius2 0.87 change to 0.90 (increases light intensity)

Once installed you can also alter the sweetfx preset files with other effects files here Sfx.thelazy.net
Any of the 1.5 or down versions can be used with this, you just rename the new file to match the old settings file name so it will use the new settings preset. The original one just add old to its name, so the preset uses the new one.

The reshade and sweetfx also uses the same settings but can be switched with the settings files upto the 2.0. It has more settings available if you wanted to also alter that one. It's also abit brighter, the reshade acts abit different then the ENB.

As far as mods for the game, they are rather limited as the company that made it went under, and unfortunately they never made it so you could really mod it much past the graphics add-ons you find with ENB, SweetFX or Reshade.

I think there are a few cheat engines but not much else.
As far as your youtube channel that's totally fine let me have the link. Mines Youtube.com, been ill the last month so haven't been doing my commentaries, but I try to keep up. And any help is appreciated.

Hi,

You don't change the filenames for the newest version.
Due to a change in windows 10, the ENB files were altered slightly, removing the need to rename any files.
As outlined in this video Youtu.be

You normally just place them as they are and if you have an issue with the graphics, then alter the d3d9.dll with one of the 4 contained in the altd3d9 folder.
If you rename that file it will not work, the file that would have been renamed was the dxgi.dll which is not included in the updated version.

Try switching out the d3d9.dll with one of the alts in the altd3d9 folder to see if that will correct your issue, don't rename any of the files.

If none of the alternate enb d3d9's work, then remove the files and use the reshade with sweetfx version.

Get back to me.

I just downloaded it and added it through Vortex, works fine.

Didn't use any of the mods you have listed tho.

Just the multicore threading fix with 4gb NVSE
and an ENB with sweetfx.
Plus a few basic mods.

Running it in 1440p no issues so far

The stuff from step 4 I never use or the unofficial patches.
May try a few you have listed later.

The ones I have are:

Multicore Threading Fix
Patched 4gb NVSE

MTUI
Weapon Mods Expanded
NMC
Sprint mod
some beauty packs hd teeth and eyelashes
Type 3 body types

Much shorter list.
