We don't have plans for it at the moment. A lot will depend on how well this does on iphone.

You're totally right, I do think that "cheating" is still somehow a part of the narrative context of the game. And however we address it in the HD Remix, I'm sure people will find all sorts of fun ways of messing around with the game on their own terms. That said, we have a little policy which is that if anyone ever suggests a feature, we cannot do it exactly that way. After all, we want everyone who plays the game to be completely surprised! So don't worry, I think you'll quite enjoy the finished product :)

Not sure. But the fact that DE did so well has definitely given me a lot to think about...

I welcome the criticism that I'm just cashing in. But the reality is that a) it's not taking any development time away from me personally, b) I actually do need money. Would you rather I were doing this or contract work for a AAA studio? c) TSP will now reach a much broader audience than it ever would have before, and d) the story has been adapted for this platform in a way that is actually exciting to me. It is now specifically addressing social networking on smartphones, every ending has been changed in some way to reflect the fact that you're playing it on a mobile device. There is quite a bit of unique content in this version that you won't find in any other, and if you can work with me on the first 3 points, I'm going to try to make the content in this version the best it can possibly be.

I love this world but I'm ready to move on. Doing the remake has allowed me to explore interesting new content without having to completely restructure the game. The remake will have lots of fun things that I find fun and that I think are fun. That's as compelling an argument as I can make.

The remake will be out before the end of the year, hopefully sooner rather than later. But it's tough to say right now.
