Thanks for the heads up! It sounds like a really neat system - what kind of techs can we expect to be in there? It feels like the kind of place that might have some of the various cross-over techs like Andorian phasers, etc, maybe even some ship designs. I might be wrong, but really eager to see what that's like! :D

One question I have though is for the regular TOS!Federation. I know the TOS!Klingons have their tree and I'd imagine they're balanced for it. Does that mean the the Federation might be a bit weaker since theirs isn't in yet? I haven't tried them just yet as I'm fighting as the Coalition vs the Xindi, but I couldn't help but take a peek to see what they'd be like.

Little question, but what do the Babel Conference tabs do? I've gone on that screen and I can see them, but they're just greyed out, and I don't know how to meet their requirements if they have any.. I'm guessing that feature is disabled for the time being?

I'm guessing that image in the bottom left with the Intrepid is to do with Hull Polarization, and that'll lead to a line with shields to match the top two with armor and hit points...or maybe its the other way around, and the one in the bottom is the armor one.

IT IS A MYSTERY

...or maybe it is a structural integrity field tech. Hmmm.

Just curious, and I think I've asked this before, but is there a way to bring back the old round Replicator capital ships?

I remember being able to swap the models in from an earlier version of the mod and have it work straight off, but I'm not sure which version has them anymore, and I loved those designs :(

Oh? How come? I was playing TFF earlier and the economic ranking puts me at first in all three categories other than metal, and that's with some spectacularly bad planets :p

Maybe a compromise between the two would work - give the colony ships back their capture ability, but maybe have it take more antimatter or have a longer cooldown, to show how these ships aren't designed for capturing stations but are capable of doing so?

That way, the AI will still be entirely capable of capturing the stuff without an issue, but that there are still reasons for dedicated capture to ships :)

And if you ever choose to expand the mod to incorporate another era, then starting with TMP is definitely best since it's basically the middle of the series and allows you to go in either direction.

It's in English, too, but there are a lot of problems with the translation, mostly because of conjugation issues in Spanish vs English translations. I'm trying to fix it myself, but there's so many lines in the file it's absolutely insane, and the editor lacks a replace all function...one that'd shave half an hour off this stuff.

I've had a huge need for something like this, so I'm definitely going to keep my eyes on it! :D

How moddable is it? Can users create their own playsets? Is there a way to change the colors of a model in game? What kind of formats does it take?

I've been thinking of running a fantasy roll-to-dodge on a forum, and this could make things *so* simple to do and make it look beautiful, too, so I'm really excited for this!

Oh, I meant a refit for during the Dominion War...which just made me realize I don't believe we ever see an Ambassador in DS9.

I still remember playing Star Trek Fleet Command III, slapping in a ton of mods and busting out the Ambassador. It made a pretty good battlecruiser once refitted with some more powerful weapons, I'd say it could take on a Vor'cha and win if in the hands of a good captain and with a few tweaks.

Hmmm...considering that the Excelsior managed to get a refit that drastically increased their strength in battle, I wonder what an Ambassador class refit could do...

I wouldn't be too surprised if a refitted Ambassador could defeat an original pre-refit Galaxy class.

I didn't even know this game had mods till I found this by chance. Just having Wessex have a different color than France is reason enough to get this mod, but...Jesus Christ these features!

Definitely gonna get this when my current campaign is done, and tracking!
