Well...are you speaking for Assassin's Creed lore or actual history?

If you're speaking for Assassin's Creed...it's possible. However, the Assassin Order did not officially adhere to any specific religion, so that's largely a matter of opinion.

As for historical events...China's had secret orders and societies that relied on assassination for thousands of years before the Hashashins even existed. There's no reason to assume that the Chinese orders had would have to have adopted ideas from their Western counterparts. If anything, the opposite is true, since the Chinese are one of the world's oldest civilizations.

I wohnt say that Ancient China didnt have Assasins of their own. It will be a lie to not say that China wasnt having one of the best murderous system in thuse times and maybe its holding today.
But I was actualy talking about Hassasins you know thuse from the word Assasin comes to. Ofcoarse not in CHinese :)
I yust see it weird that they will be any need that Azio's Assasins doing something in CHina. I think China have even more dangerous Orders then the "Assasin ones".
And if we a talking about Western CounterAparts its more realistic to say that westerners adopted it from China as all thinks. China is hiding so many secrets that gives my a shiver :3
And I must say that what I studied about Hassasins is that THEIR WERE WERY RELIGIOUS, AND ISLAM WAS THEIR ONLY ONE.
Only that Arabs met Chinese way before anyone else right??
Its yust the game doesnt take much from reality. And I yust see it realy wrong that westerners are taking one of the Arabic Legacy for themselfs. And making wrong history.

Are you referring to the Assassin Order from history, or the one from the Assassin's Creed game series? The one from history was strictly Muslim, but the one from Assassin's Creed was pretty much secular.

I think an Assassin's Creed set in China during the Ming Dynasty would go down very well, the cities and countryside would both make for excellent exploring and combat, and the elite mercenary (I forget the name of their Chinese counterparts) fighters would make for some rather intense brawls.

To be honest, I actually think the Tang Dyansty or Warring States Period would be more interesting for an Assassin's Creed title. By the time the Ming Dynasty came to power, China was beginning to fall behind the rest of the world. In some ways, one could say that the Ming Era is somewhat overrated by modern historians and scholars.
