Looking good! looking real good!
Thanks, but its not mine!

Congrats on the new trailer!
When i see it, i cant help buy imagine that this could also serve as a roguelike for other people. as in, other people invade your dungeon in a roguelike game.
Do you have a Direct3d 10 compatible graphics card?
Impressive work mate.
The main thing that is still bothering me is the UI, it is in a completely different style with the game graphics.
I took the liberty in demonstrating how a more fitting UI might look like:

If you like it, i can send you the open PSD file so you could extract the elements.
Woha, this looks great! kudos mates!
Wait, so the isometric engine is for the world selection, or are you completely transitioning to isometric?
Well, i think its pretty essential. since the idea is about giving life to the world, it must be supported, visually, by the textures. this is your main mechanic, so it should deserve the most attention.
Hey, really nice concept mates. really nice!
I have a suggestion regarding how the world visually turns filled with plant life.
You have great desert textures, but the plants items on top of the desert texture make them look disconnected. my suggestion is to turn the entire texture to a green lush one as you plant along.
Something along those lines would make the contrast between the dead world empty world and the impact you have on it

You can turn of sieges from the options menu even while playing. However, if you want complete monster free maps, you will have to use mods that do that.
Hey chris, i am a long time fan, but, also a critic. i loved AI wars and i love what i am reading here. this is a brilliant design and i want to see it succeed. which brings me to my next point, i feel i must point you out at a few things about the graphics. this is not about them being beautiful or ugly, its about them being extremely not consistent, both in quality and in style, shading and perspective.
Take the swamp tiles, which are really fantastic. they have great colors and details, however, they are not aligned with the isometric terrain. now, the swamps takes a bit to notice, when it comes to the buildings, it takes a lot to try and ignore it. the buildings are all over the place, not a single one of the buildings is aligned to the terrain at some part of them at least. they are also not aligned to other buildings, which makes it even weirder.
The lighting on the hills (which are dozens of levels below the rest of the terrain in terms of quality) is coming from a different point than the lighting on some of the buildings.
i took liberty in proving how inconsistent the perspectives of the buildings are.
please don't take it as an insult, because i do think that most of the art style and quality is good, it just need to get realigned and i really think having better graphics will further help sell this game.
No, but its a nice suggestion.
However, some plants like the sugar cane and bamboo require water nearby in order to grow.
Also, i have added a special item into each of the buried towns that can not be found nor bought from the merchant which has his value rise as he gets buried again and again. after 10 towns of burial and recover, the item (Golden Crown of king nux) will worth 150,000 gold and grant 50 happiness. it will be interesting to see if any of the 8-10 crowns survive and reach their "10 towns old" status
Thanks, much appreciated. and yeah, paid work, of course.
Quite an israeli name you got there :)
And damn those are very very good. i especially like Hard Lands, Rugged People.
If you have spare time i would like to discuss if you would like to make a tune for the game i co-develop, called towns.
The thing is, its a little more realistic this way, and, it forces you to build the town in a more efficient way, and hence, i believe, in a more believeable way.
Its already in since the last patch :)
you just need to hover the citizen icon (picture) in the citizens panel
The cursor is changing to a mining cursor, dont look at the arrow, look at the cubical indication
Yes, if you buy ANYWHERE you will get a steam key when we go live there.
We have a plan regarding that. not the usual way one would think though.
Well, we are exploring the merging of other mechanics in, like the heroes. we also have a few features planned that we prefer not to reveal yet that we hope will further diversify it.
Yeah, it does! they are all so peacefully live there, unaware that soon enough, monsters will merge from the depths and devour them all :)
There is a "creative mode" mod on our forums that allow you to freely build, check it out. i must admit, i use it my self some times :)
Thanks! we did it :)
