Eh, you're going to get these kind of people a lot when you're putting indie stuff out. Some people don't even play the games and just do it for kicks.

Pay it no mind. This actually looks cool.

I gotta say, that is actually the coolest thing I read. And I really appreciated it! Thank you!

Pretty much different enemy patterns and you unlock a new costume.

If you don't mind, maybe you guys should add the demo on here.

I'll link it:

I'm more than willing to actually try to support a lot of games on Desura.

And agreed; most people tend to either take from face value or the developers never upload a demo for people to try.

Personally, I like this game. It's a nice start and like the original Devil May Cry, I hope that a second game would add more content and improve a lot of things.

Actually played through a bit so far.

It's like a faster Oneechanbara; combos and specials seem to link up well enough. However, it's annoying when the enemies guard everything, so you have to rely on low attacks before you upgrade your attacks.

The game runs in waves instead of traversing the stage in a typical action game manner.

Obviously the graphics showcase a bit for being low spec; I'm not going to lie that the character models pop out, both the female lead and the enemies. I like the "indie movie" spec behind it.

Looking for anything new, well, it's a typical "action game with a female lead", for better or for worse. My only gripe is, for a "Stylish Crowd Fighter", it's a smidge tame. The soundtrack, when it comes on, is pretty neat.

Overall, what I'm saying is the game is pretty neat. I'd wish it'd be 9.99 instead at least, or at LEAST add a demo, but all in all, for those worried, there's some substance to it to not make it look like a "durr boobies" indie game.

Needless to say, I don't mind supporting this.

Also, I recommend a controller.

On one hand, I understand what you're saying, as I dealt with that myself lately.

On the other, no one's answering a simple question: Has someone actually played it?

Answer is this; I just got it with a bundle since there is no demo to try it out (Which they may consider putting up.), so I'm about to give it a shot.

You should add a demo for this for potential buyers to try out first! :D Good luck!

More or less, I won't try to get it back on Greenlight. If you people want to see it on there, at this point, it's a matter of people asking for it.

Mostly because of either "Looks lame, didn't even try it" or "OMG IT"S A HENTAI HERP."

It's a cut and paste, since this isn't the first time someone has asked for it to be on Steam, but...

I've seen some gorgeous one-man or two-man team games that were amazing on Greenlight and felt they deserved a shot on there. But of course, people were dismissing it as "not trendy enough" or mistake it as a big company making a small game. Which is ignorant on both parts: if it's fun, it deserves a chance, damn the content.

Most people mistook Pecan as some "Hentai" game. Okay, granted, its risqué humor and "over-the-top" suggestive themes may lead one to believe that, but honestly? It's a harmless poke from the 80s and 90s on how anime and video games portrayed their brave heroines. Valis, Project A-KO, hell, Slayers serve as prime examples of what silly fun the game has in store.

The worse that happens is Episode 4, against Mistress Mocha. Otherwise, it's no worse in content than Outlaw Star.

As for "quality" of the game, for a VERY small team on graphics, (me jumping between music, graphics and programming), the idea was making a modern Sega Saturn game. Personally, even though there's room for improvement, I'd say we did a damn good job trying to get it out by a certain time! And I'm actually still trying to update it, adding new enemy types, moves and tweaks. But I digress, I'm rambling.

Point is, I'm thankful for everyone supporting as well as giving criticism in a mature open manner towards improving the game before jumping onto our next project. Considering te origins of this project, I'm actually very proud and happy where it's gotten.

But yes. Point is? Give new, smaller, projects a chance. Within time, they'll definitely grow.

Anyone looking for a fighting game that retains that "old SNK feel" check this one out!

I wish you the bet of luck with this!

Hey there!

As I mentioned to you, one of the best things to use for a 360 gamepad is Joy2Key, at least that's what everyone else has been recommending to me a lot! Hope it helps.

"Took it out of the spotlight" for the time being. For those who actually enjoy the game and wanted to see it on Steam, sadly I don't feel it's going to happen, mainly because of the majority reeeeeeeally don't want to see it on there/ feel "offended"/ not enough greys and browns/ too "Japanese/ won't want to bother trying it but hate it anyways/ etc.

It's stupid and silly, yes, but eh, if the people REALLY don't want to see it on there, so be it. Indie/Homebrew is a bit tougher to get on there than on Indievania or Desura. Yeah, all games will have their share of "haters", and people who just need to look for a reason to hate it and developers need to bear tougher skin, but it's a bit much to deal with, especially from a guy who really just "wanted to make a wwtf-retro-throwback game".

I might put it back up there, but only if there's more support for the actual game itself.

Thank you very much! :D

We understand it's not perfect, and not to everyone's taste, but hey. The game is catered to a specific crowd of people who just.... well, like fun and crazy games with nods to a better time. Don't have to take EVERY SINGLE THING IN LIFE serious. It's our first project (A team of three, if you will.) and just trying to finally decided to release this monster on the world, even if not many people know about it. :P

Currently even adding some new stuff to the game one last time for a while before jumping back on our next project.

Another thing to build meter is a hidden finisher that's the taunt button as the bunny mooks faint.

Also, Flan mentions that there is a hidden move that is unlocked after defeating Vanilla called Blazing Strikes. (Costs three Tabs. Up + Strike + Jump. Activated upon landing a hit on an enemy.)

See my buddy down there? Episode 6. He seems to get by them just fine.

It's simple really. Dodge, wait for them to lunge punch by, turn around and throw in a few hits, repeat. It's actually pretty simple. Every five hits makes them flinch.

Again, with that meter you build as you hit, you can do a 360 burst attack which does more damage and stuns them.

Also, you can still wield projectiles from a safe distance. Still does damage.

They're literally easy by themselves if you try not to over think it.

As for the reason the Jennies have "super armor", is mostly because they only have two attacks, low health and a simple pattern.

Well now.

The !! Bubble can be countered on Boss characters, whereas the attacking after dodging an attack is the best way to catch them off guard.

As for Flan's tips, they're straight to the point. They give out basic ideas, as well as just tips on everyday life.

The game is pretty challenging and even relentless at times, but, much like God Hand, it's just a matter of adapting and reading patterns. It's "arcade challenging".

Just keep an eye on the meter, use it when you need to and take advantage of openings and being able to use projectile and sweeps.

That's why it bugs me. It runs fine with minimal slowdown with the rainy stage (Which there's a way to turn it off by holding Strike + Jump while it loads) which even boggles me when working with it.

Though, it may also be Direct X messing with it, so I'm trying to still solve it with each update.
