Looks great, I was pretty surprised when I saw that it was free. looking forward to playing it as soon as I get time.

Is gamersgate its own distribution service with DRM?

Oh yeah, my last comment isn't a tiny UI thing but more of a notice that I can't really get the town to not act as a hivemind, people either all seem to be doing the same thing or have one person do a thing at once. I don't know if this is just me sucking at the priorities system or how the game works currently.
Anyway, I know I have listed a lot of criticisms but it's a great game and I'm really eager to continue playing it as it moves through development.

It would be nice if there were hotkeys for the toolbar at the bottom, either a single character for each one or the number keys. Also, the tutorial explained what auto-production system, but that system is kind of confusing either way (I understand it, but it is the opposite of intuitive.) Some way to clarify it better would be nice.
Also, when you have an action selected like Harvest or Dig, it would be nice if it stayed enlarge in the toolbar so you knew what you were using.

In a neutral way! I was expecting a more straight shooting fantasy game, this works equally as well for me. I can see either path coming out really great.

Definitely kind of subverted my expectations of what I expected, after playing the demo. The game, music, and graphics all work beautifully together though

I ended up looking back through the comments and also saw you mention Haven and Hearth. I spent several weeks of my life dedicated to that game, and have never really heard anyone else ever mention it, so that was a really good sign too. I played the current version and I'm excited to see where you go with it! good luck

Hmm, really calls to mind Elona. I'm sure developers hate it when you compare their game to others, but in my mind that's an honor as it's one of my favorite indie games of all time. Looks pretty great though! downloading now

Towns and Wyv & Keep intensely appeal to me, 3079 does in theory but in practice not so much... but I'll go into all three with an open mind. probably my favorite bundle since the days of yore

Oh please. To most of the commenters, stop trying to justify piracy if you do it. I won't say I never pirate games, because I do, but I don't create fake reasons for it. You keep bringing up they are too expensive. How often do indie games cost 50 or 60 dollars? It's not relevant. Even when games are set your own price they get pirated. The try them before you buy them argument is ridiculous, too, for obvious reasons. The DRM thing is bunk, most indie games don't have DRM, and the games other people listed here never give anyone issues besides people who are actively trying to find a reason to complain about DRM (and therefore justify their piracy.) Not to mention I can't think of a time when finding a torrent, downloading it, unarchiving it, mounting the iso, applying cracks and jumping through hoops to get the proper patches was easier than just downloading it from an actual distribution service. Piracy isn't a practical issue 99 percent of the time, it's a moral issue, neither side is going to get anywhere until both accept that.

This game looks cool as hell.

The difference is minecraft actually exists. This would no doubt be a cool game, but if you have been on ModDB (and now, of course, IndieDB) for any amount of time you know to be skeptical. An open world, survival online game isn't exactly a new idea. (neither is the free to play part- which makes me doubt the project the most, besides the apparent one-man-team aspect)

This looks fun. I would say these type of games are my guilty pleasure but I can't even bring myself to be guilty, just to enjoy them. Can't wait!
