For some reason, you have God Mode enabled.
(I do not recommend it, it spoils the gameplay significantly.)
- There is an option for this in Settings. Disable it.

An alternative is to:
- edit the \appdata\user.cfg file. (with Notepad/Notepad++)
- there should be a line: "g_god on" ; if there is, set it to "g_god off".

- Yes, this is normal. TeamEPIC didn't add new weapons, purposefully.

If you want weapons, there are some WeaponsPack addons available.
Currently, most popular are ArsenalOverhaul, and STCOP.
- Install one of them, not both, made for the version of CoC you have.

( In one instance, I've tested with a FileMonitoring app whether CoC accesses some files outside its directory; its process accessed some windows system files only, and some generic info from the registry. )

My best guess is: with you playing DeadAir, you've become more observant and more aware of the limitations/bugs of the AI in ShoC and CoP.

That is why I recommend you to try some mod with heavily upgraded AI behavior.
( 'latest Bamah's Gun Mod Ver.4' )
He has put significant effort in the AI, and is still working on it.

(Caution: here, the NPCs can shoot at you from 300+m distance, and are tactical, aggressive, and won't let you get away nearly as easily as in other mods.
- This more closely resembles human behavior, which is appreciated by many, myself included ;

-- Note that the AI in CoC, ShoC, CoP will 'let you go' at distances of 100-150m and more. -- )

You need to give more specific info about the problem you encounter.
Also, note that every mod has some bugs in its AI behavior.

Most important: do you install every mod in its own separate folder, or all in one.
- If it is the former, then there is no reason for them to interfere with each other, whatsoever.

On another note, I may suggest you install Bamah GunMod.
It is still WiP, but it has the best AI in any CoC mod, AFAIK.

(I narrowed down the culprit to the "g_language" value in "user.cfg")
( - This happens when the game is started for the first time without the eng_patch: the value "g_language rus" is set, and it stays at that value even after applying the patch. - )

So,
Delete (or rename) the 'APPDATA' folder, OR

Edit the \appdata\user.cfg file. There should be a line:
-- "g_language eng" ; ( NOT "g_language rus" )

( 19.000 individual translations were required for this translation patch to exist;
- it is beyond sad that the problem of properly 'enabling' it is the most common obstacle for people to enjoy it fully. )

When I have the necessary free time, and if someone else doesn't beat me to it, I will improve upon some missing and/or incorrect dialogs.
( Feedbacks with a screenshot and short description, posted under this comment, will greatly help this process.
- I expect that by now, thousands of hours of gameplay are spent in this mod. )

IN SHORT, for new installations:
- install the game, apply the eng_patch, and only THEN start the game for the first time.

( I expect these instructions to eliminate any problems of this kind. )

On another note, there exists an option "Disable Minimap" in Options-Controls.
I, personally, strongly recommend "Disable HUD"; (in ANY CoC/Stalker mod).

The .dbs files are encrypted. ( .db files are not )
- Whatever the reason for this may be, I respect the decision of the creators in this, regardless of my personal views.
( The weapons settings need 'tweaking', so we'll have to find an acceptable way of doing this. )

Other than that, I haven't had any trouble spawning items/gear.
The debug spawner works fine for me.

AFAIK, there are some BTRs in Pripyat and Agroprom.
Army chopper in Swamps and Cordon.
(Also, I know you can fly a helicopter in Demosfen. And try this: Reddit.com )

You may get more info/suggestions, wait a while.
- CoC is famous around the World, in all different time zones.

You have the option to explore it, from the outside and from the inside.

Go North from Zaton.
(You can start as a Loner, at Skadovsk; or as a Monolith, in NPP.)

You can play the 'Story Mode', this will get you inside, also.

Demosfen needs optimizing, and the creators are working on that, among other things.
( I am waiting for the weapon attachments; - currently only HK416 has them, AFAIK. )

As for the v-sync; I have a GTX970, and I need from it 60fps at 1080p, so I have set v-sync to 'Adaptive' in Nvidia Control Panel, to prevent the 'tearing' that happens with >60fps.

( It seems that in your case v-sync is 'default' off; thus overriding the in-game setting. -- CHECK THAT. ) - If you have a Radeon, it is set within CCC.

Also, Rostok is THE largest and most developed area in Demosfen.
It is akin to Novigrad in W3.

For the translation, delete (or rename) the folders 'appdata' and 'gamedata', and then apply the patch.
(Some of the existing files cause the interference.)

For the weapons, wait for the update. (Should be 'soon'.)

My personal choice - disable the HUD entirely in settings.
(Also, no NPC_recognition by the binocs/sniper_scopes.)

I am rather impressed of your comprehensive and meticulous approach to developing this mod/addon.

This alone shows that great results are to be expected from your effort.

You may even 'set a trend' and open Stalker to entirely new way of gameplay.
( If this goes well, in the next few years, many other mods/addons will come with the PoV of a mutant, all because of what you started right here. )

Keep up the good work. However long it takes. (Don't skimp on quality).

(I totally expect some version of Stalker/CoC to exist even in year 2030.)

Weapons using the same ammo should cause similar damage.

The other characteristics that differ depending on the weapon are: magazine size, accuracy, reliability, handling.

With a longer barrel, the bullet fired spends more time in the barrel, and thus, gets more of the pressure that propels it forward.
This results in a somewhat higher velocity and accuracy.
( Barrel length is important for the damage_output, but to a much lesser degree. )
( - As it can be seen here, ( Files.osgnetworks.tv ), the velocity (and thus, 'kinetic energy'/damage) increase for 16inch vs 13in barrel is less than 10%. )

I have already made a thorough research for the purposes of 'accurate damage_model' in Stalker.
Some of the relative damage_values should be as follows:

hit_power: 7.62x51 - 1; Buckshot - 0.66; 7.62x39 - 0.54; 5.56x45 - 0.5; 5.45x39 - 0.49.

( For the weapons in Stalker to more closely represent RL weapons, the above info is very important. )

Since this is a Community, and our mutual goal is a better representation of the Zone, I chose to reveal more detailed info from my research. -- Ufile.io --
( These can be used by anyone who wants to improve the damage_model. Here or in any other CoC/Stalker game. )

That is a real possibility, considering that only Demosfen 1.03 has real 3D sights and Tactical Attachments.
Precautions are wise.

As for me, honestly, I find that the damage_output of the weapons needs a lot of 'tweaking'.
That is why I, personally, wanted those files.
( And I was planning on releasing an addon with 'tweaked' weapons 'damage_model'. )

As it can be seen from the "weapons_hit_power.ltx" file, the weapons damage_model is very unbalanced.
( Example: wpn_toz34 (shotgun) has 2x the damage_output of the wpn_vepr (shotgun) ; -- all shotguns should cause similar damage. )
( There are handguns more powerful than rifles, shotguns more powerful than the Scar-H... )
( Damage among rifles should be by caliber ; ex: ak101/102 - hk416/m16/l85 - all 5.56 caliber rifles )

----

The overall best option would be for Demosfen Team to do a rebalancing of the weapons damage_output and still keep the proprietary weapons technology.

(Here is the "weapons_hit_power.ltx" file created in my folder; so anyone can see what I am talking about: -- Ufile.io -- )

NO DISRESPECT intended toward the creators of this mod, but the damage_model needs rebalancing.

On a more serious note,
how goes the progress on the 'Tactical Attachments' for the weapons.
- I'd like to know if/when Handguns, the Scar-H and, of course, the AK74 get them.

( Demosfen 1.03 has the largest representation of the Zone and 3D sights ; the 'Tactical Attachments' and an improved weapons damage_model would surely bring it closer to the Top. )

In addition, is there a way to unpack the weapons.db database ?
With the regular method/unpacker, the text in the files gets garbled.
( Many people here would like access to those files. )
