when ever i see tactical/strategy for a game's genre i expect that if i stray too far from that role i'd be screwed...but the run and gun "strategy" seems to work fine in this game~

Its a adventure game...not an action adventure. Most adventure games are more about the story-line rather than some score or combo moves...soooo... your opinion sucks....In my opinion.
