very excited for this
maybe this summer! we're on an release schedule
I seriously admire the effort put into this mod. Good luck with your first release!
awesome work!
i'm interested in trying this
great looking levels, what will the game be like?
This sounds like a lot of fun with friends, will definitely check this out when you make it available!
good catch on the camera timing, I'll try to re-upload that fix soon.
the freeze and unfreeze have that output set to orb*, * is the wildcard that routes this output to any entity whose name starts with orb. It's kind of messy because not every one of those orb entities has a 'disable' input, but its more of a catchall just to make sure all the orb entities will be disabled.
Awesome mod, mbortolino you captured what makes valve games so renowned.
I thought this mod had died before hl2 was even released! Awesome to see it's still going strong.
Woah. You can pm me if you're still having problems
To disable auto jumping at ledges use: sv_autojump 0
To disable left + right click jumping use: ps_allowjump 0
You can also tweak the height with ps_jumpheight
When the next map comes out there will be easy ways of changing the control scheme. Thanks for the feedback so far!
werebadger, you can put any ep1 built map in and it will work. I will add a tutorial for adding orbs this week
I have no idea what's going on here or if this is even supposed to be a game but keep doing whatever you're doing. It's great
HEY the next perfect stride release is solid in the map department, but we're going to release everything you need to build maps next week (its REALLY simple). We really want to feature new maps people make on our moddb page so we'll support you!
MAKE THIS GAME. Seriously. The concept is genius, the game designs itself!
You guys do good work! I'm really impressed that you rebuilt it from scratch, what resilience!
Nice work so far, this is what modding is all about
Nice work, there is some good insight here
It looks like you're off to a good start, but realize your list of features is more ambitious than most mods (and most independent games). Don't be afraid to scale your game down to the essential features! We'd rather play it than have it never see the light of day!
This is a good example of the mod summary used to great effect!
I like consoles because playing with other people (not online) is much easier, and PC games tend to scare friends who aren't gamer types.. but I still prefer developing for PC since it's really flexible and easy to distribute. I hope that some day consoles will become more open to DIY games and mods.
Does anyone else get the feeling this is too hasty? Valve sets a precedent for free content with TF2 and we respond by boycotting their other products.. Is that reasonable?
This is pretty fun, I like your sense of humor. Keep up the awesome work

I enjoy to mess around with the video games
