Impire

Game review may contain spoilers

If you must compare this to dungeon keeper think of it as a scaled down version of it. If you are a fan of dungeon keeper and you think this is its successor then you will be disappointed buying it on that basis alone. Although you can dig your hallways you cannot build your rooms to your specific sizes, it keeps it child friendly and has a blueprint that you can rotate and that is it. As of the last time I played this, about a week ago, I had to transport my imps to the kitchen to eat and found it was easier to do the same to the locations I wanted them as they are quite slow if you want them to get from one end of the dungeon to the other. On quite a few occasions I spawned new workers and they stood there looking around not doing anything even though there were things to be moved into the storeroom. Also I had my prison block built and kept trying to imprison the heroes but my imps kept killing them, this could have been some noob error on my part though. There will be some of you out there who will be unhappy about the mouths of the characters not moving at all whilst speaking and the humor is hit and miss, this shall depend on each individual though. There is plenty to do in the game, no sandbox as of yet but maybe one day hopefully, and although the ladders do need to disappear from the game completely the heroes can be quite challenging and the boss battles are not just a case of clicking on attack, attack, attack... Well so far they are but not just on the boss. The first boss you must also destroy the tables so he cannot replenish his energy. The battles above ground could be worked on more and actually allow me to see all the fights if I so wish, once again could be a noob error, but all I seem to get, apart from the first fight, is a report. Hopefully before any paid DLC comes out everything is fixed and the ladders are taken out so at least some strategy can actually be used. This 7/10 could lose/gain a mark depending on if/how the game is patched.

Survivors of Ragnarök

Game review

To be honest I cannot give a fair review of this game. The reason for this is I have only played an extremely small amount of it... 5 minutes to be exact. The reason for this is I have tried on many occasions to get the game working but everytime I start a game my survivors will not move, everytime i press to dig or level the ground the dirt just disappears whilst my survivor seems frozen in time. You can verify your files, uninstall and install countless times but nothing happens. The game has bugs but to have one that makes the game totally unplayable is one that is seemingly being ignored.

The reason I gave it a score of two is because I gave it one point for at least starting to make a game and another because I do like the concept of it and hope this gets fixed at some point. If you look at the comments though you will see some kind of game breaking issue has been going on for quite a while.

The people who have given it a high score are either people so bitter that they downloaded this 'game' that they want others to make the same mistake or the devs have got people that they know to score it to try and take our money.

If you must try it only get the free chicken edition for now then you can upgrade to a paid version once it is playable. I warn you not to pay for this yet, I feel sorry for us that have bought the settlers edition but pity the ones that may have bought the valkyrie edition.

I shall change my review accordingly once I know it is working and playable again. Desura should not have allowed it to have been released in the state it is in at the moment.
