I’m a mod author and a fan of role playing games, especially AD&D by Gary Gygax and Call of Cthulhu. Computer games can’t capture the feeling of storytelling between friends, but games such as Ultima Underworld or Fallout (up to New Vegas) can retain some element of role playing choice; modding can also retain the element of creative contribution. I’ve modded several aspects of Skyrim and New Vegas and my experience in modding sums up to this: only mod what you play, treat your users with respect, and be mindful to whom you license your work. You can email me at spam at yandex.com replacing spam with my name.

See the thread here Moddb.com as it contains a link to solve your issue.

I replied to your argument under the question: "Was there a reason why you removed it in the first place? Just curious."

The text being centered without a background is the first experience a player sees when he first runs an unmodded game, both in FO3 and FNV. I believe Bethesda did their best in designing the intro, and I kept this format for subtitles everywhere.

The name tag is slightly moved because I wanted to support different aspect rations. The name in the original game is always right-aligned which is not balanced in very wide monitors.

This usually happens when a popular modding guide starts recommending my mod.

Install WMM first and then allow VUI+ to overwrite WMM. UIO will merge them for you automatically.

But why WMM ? Stewie's Tweaks includes an option to do what WMM does but even better.

I respect your choice and I'm pretty certain my mod works with Vortex. However I can't help you myself since I never used it. But there must be a support forum at Nexusmods where they can offer you some advice.

Only if the item list is huge and there are fixes in mods such as Stewie's mods, New Vegas Heap Replacer, and New Vegas Tick Fix.

No, it's not an issue in this mod.

Follow the instruction you see in the error message.

Not yet. There should have been a year ago but I can't find the free time required to test my edits. I cannot simply make edits and ship the mod, it's too popular to have new bugs.

No it doesn't change that, and it's compatible with such mods. Check out a relevant option in the settings file.

Show me a screenshot of that PipBoy screen along with a console message that shows your current perception.

Also, be sure you use the original YUP patch for your testing.

> I don't know how to do that.

Use MO2. They have a pretty good documentation.

> error that their are missing fonts and i need to restore the default fonts

This message only shows if you modified your INI files to install fonts using an old method. Unfortunately some mod guides still insist on using this old method. You need to revert those INI edits.

I can't help with Vortex.

Also, it's not a .zip but a .7z.

Does Steam allow you to install mods ? If so, it must provide a function to uninstall them too. If you already tried that, then try uninstalling and reinstalling the MCM.

VUI+ is compatible with oHUD as long as you overwrite oHUD by VUI+.

In that case, you'll need a special mod to really cap them at 1. The game does consider such attributes to be 0 or negative even if it doesn't show them as such. In the example above, the standard interface would stick to 1. I agree, that's an interface mistake and I fixed it.

> at the start of the game, depending on what your game settings are, values can go quite deep into the negatives depending on the traits you choose, which makes it hard on immersion for the above reason.

Are you sure about that ? The game doesn't allow combinations that would reduce a skill to ≤0 values at character creation.

You're right though, 0 or negative values don't apply special penalties compared to 1. But my mod doesn't change that. It only shows their real values.

If barter etc bottoms out at 1 and you take a buff that adds +1, should it increase to 2 or stay at 1 ?

If you would post a few screenshots and clear steps on reproducing it, I might have a look around Christmas or the next Summer. Please do so in the forum, comments are not meant for long reports.

Personally I'm not a fan of what I see as a clutter in the HUD. Why should I be looking at my karma when I move around ? I can simply open my Pip-Boy. I prefer a clean HUD with only the essential stuff. That's why I never had a strong reason to modify the HUD in the history of this mod, let alone in its maintenance stage.

I really think that people who prefer an info-packed HUD should look for alternatives. DUI is a good one, but Anro's mods (MUX etc) use smaller fonts and might offer the space necessary to add such infographics with the obvious advantage of being supported by their author.

Yes, Revelation Lite should do the work however I can only support my mod in its latest version. Please don't ask me anything related to Revelation: Moddb.com

Read the Readme.txt file. It contains instructions for dealing with this problem which has arisen because you didn't follow the installation instructions in the same Readme.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean; please remove my mod and see if there's a controller toggle.
