Thats part of the reason why we have set up the community channels (Discord, Steam group) where we announce matches and events. As mentioned in the article, we typically try to get matches going in the weekends, and its been working well so far.

The 25-round magazine was the only one that had been invented at the time. The 30-round double stacked magazines werent manufactured until very late in the war/post-war, and they didnt see any use. 40-round magazines for the Madsen MG never existed, though they did exist for an auto-cannon manufactured by the same company in the inter-war period.

Currently you can play it both offline and online with bots enabled in the PvP modes. No Co-Op support yet.

WW1 source is the older version of the project, a mod for Half-Life 2. If you are looking for details about the Screaming Steel release, see this article: Moddb.com

No, at the moment it only contains the Western Front with the British Commonwealth and Imperial Germany as the factions.

You can find the old HL2-mod WW1: Source versions in the file section on this page, there are installation instructions included. Screaming Steel for Day of Infamy is not released yet and can't be downloaded.

There will be bot support in the first release for PvP modes. We'll look at adding COOP-support later.

If you can run Day of Infamy on your Mac you can run this as well.

Testing showed that the real life sights were too obstructive and difficult to use for quite a few players, but we have included a seperate ironsight setting for those who really want to use it.

The model is sitting at a comfortable 20k tris with 2k textures, right in line with whats acceptable in this branch of Source. It also has LOD’s which helps when you’re at a distance.

The ballistics system was very impressive and brought a lot of depth to the gameplay of our builds of WW1: Source, but it's not a part of Screaming Steel.

I doubt you'll be able to get in touch with him as he has been away for quite a while now, being busy with important real life stuff.

For the time being we'll stick to the Day of Infamy workshop. Making the mod downloadable via the Steam store itself probably isnt gonna happen.

Weapons and fire support will not be restricted to early war maps as they are a pretty integral part of the gameplay we're aiming for. Units will be restricted to their proper real life battles though.

This is correct, we chose to do it the same way as in vanilla DoI to prevent confusion for any players used to that system

We wrote about this in our latest news article; "We will be posting additional articles in the coming weeks and months, and also a release date when we’re sure we can keep our promise regarding that. We are hoping to have a version of the project out sometime this summer, and we feel thats a very likely estimate with how good the progress has been in the past few weeks."

We'll probably add a few more from time to time. All units will be available to use, you do not need to own any in vanilla DoI.

If you mean ironsights, then yes. Pretty much all of the firearms have useable ironsights.

The Wex is on our weapons wishlist, but it's not gonna be ingame for our first release. Probably will be further down the line though!

As mentioned in the article we need a few more weeks/months before we're confident about giving a release date that we can stick to 100%

Day of Infamy has native support for Bots, so yes, we'll probably have COOP gamemodes available eventually. Perhaps not for our first release, but certainly further down the line.

Hei, har egentlig ikke behov for folk som gjør research, siden jeg gjør det selv :) Men hvis du lager 3D-models, teksturer, baner eller om du animerer og er kjent med Source-engine så har jeg bruk for deg.
