If you would do research as I advised you will find numerous occasions where we talk about WHY. Ill try and summarise it in a short version for you - The state of the code for the first game was not in a state which could receive such features as a semi open world, Multiplayer, upgraded visuals without killing off performance, multiple story Shop AI navigation, just to name a few. We can not move forward as developers sticking to the first one without overhauling it from the ground up.

And no I am not saying SK 1 is missing things, it is not. It lacks polish which is not a bug, not a feature, it is things like better visuals, better UI. But it is a game that you play from start till however long you want, every single feature is working, everything promised included. Around a year after it was launched we supported it with hotfixes and free content at a financial loss. 2 full years AFTER it was fully launched we got new experience, grew as developers, increased the team and started making something far bigger than SK 1 ever was.

Once again - it was not abandoned, it was finished/complete. you do not say this to Blizz for making Diablo II or III, or the numerous other indie games that release sequels this year. I am open for discussion - but with facts.

Have a good day.

P.S. And again I direct you to Steamcommunity.com

Which is a FAQ we compiled just for people like yourself who do not like doing research or reading just a few words that already were posted and just want to spread misinformation to other people :)

Just to clarify - SK 1 was complete with every single feature we promised or talked about, received 7+ content updates after launch, had over 450+ updates during Early Access. It does not contain game breaking bugs but lacks polish, which we agree on 100%, we increased our team, and this is not a reskin, its a whole new game made from scratch without any single asset used from SK 1. If its not your cup of tea - fine, can't be loved by everyone. Saying lies like abandoned is something that you should not go around spreading. Please do some research before jumping on the "Abandoned Meme" wagon. Please direct your attention to our FAQ on Steam Steamcommunity.com

Have a good day.

P.S. I have said it numerous times - show us WHAT we promised but did not include, and I shall personally use my free time whatever I have left of and include it into SK 1 and post an Update for it. Not a single person has yet came back to us with any information about it, instead they just dissapear after yelling "Abandoned"

Sadly it can only be played with Windows 32 and 64 Bit, OSX 32 and 64Bit and Linux...you guessed it 32 and 64 Bit. Only the pirated versions have 64 bit torrent downloads. Steam versions have full builds for any system.

This will be talked about more extensively at a future date, but we will have different weapons, spells, brooms, hammers, chests, pants, boots, hats/helms, gloves, this is just talking about your own personal avatar, most of the changes will influence how you manage your shop, some giving great benefits, others not as much, we are balancing out the items, and making them fit in the game environment and gameplay itself. I do not want to go into much detail as this might change soon, but we will not stop at just the player it is just something I noticed asked for in the last few months.

Just trying to inform the masses of what was going while no news was posted, but we still had some tweets or screenshots going around on indieDB and Twitter of content that was made at that time, for example we are uploading stuff that is being made right NOW, and to go into further detail and reach their changelogs is ooh what an adventure haha. Simply stay tuned, some followed the game from the early start, others are just now tuning in!

You will have full rights to showcase and play the game whenever, wherever and on whatever media you like. Be it on Twitch, Youtube, other video sharing sites, by your own at home or with friends watching and giving suggestions, even on your refrigerator or a toaster, but do tell us how you got the game to run on the last two. To summarize, we do not object to you tubers playing this game or monetizing on the game play footage. Once it is released - go nuts.

Just wanted to let you know! We do listen to your fans, and will do that for weeks to come pre release, and months after it. After all this is a game for you all, and as such we want to make it as fun and close to home as possible.

They should have been in the spotlight for a few months, but we kinda finished them off fast, and made way for other features, but this is the general gist of how they began, there are lines in the changelogs that concern the bots, one of my favorites is instead of having the bot start its engine and go catch a thief before he runs away, you can set him to become a personalized Tesla coil for a limited range, but more on that in the future news updates!

Dear Templarfreak, you have been with this game for a long time now, seeing it grow, commenting, being a supporter. We here at Shoppe Keep wanted to give you a somewhat reward, as you know we are already on Steam, in a limbo prerelease state, this let us add lot's of fun Achievements, so here is one that should give you a smile -
"Bodies? That was decoration"

We are putting a lot of thought into this. And there will be tweaking even post release that is for sure. At this moment the current build objects have a max durability of 100, let's call it 100% - perfect. Durability is being lost for every single action such as product placed, product taken away, product stolen, product knocked off, product bought, barbarian sword hits, your sword hits, when the durability reaches 60 or lower the object will start to show wear and tear and customers will use that as an excuse to receive a discount of 20% potentially leaving you in the red for any given sale from that object, when durability reaches 40% ir becomes even more broken and customers ignore it outright, and to add salt to the wound, the object will start to deteriorate at a slow pace, but ignored long enough will brake down into a pile of rubbish throwing all of the objects on the ground, lowering overall shop appeal rating, attracting rats who bring dirt to the floor at a steady pace, meaning a few whacks of the hammer can not only save you 20% of gold each sale, but potentially saving your steady customer traffic, as Shop Appeal, overall shop product value and cleanliness directly influence Customer traffic size. In our testing we have went from having 12 customers a minute in a mediocre state shop, to 65 a minute if everything was clean, high value products were in stock, and stuff were fixed. Not to say that 65 is a maximum amount, the sky is the limit. Hope this clears stuff up. :)

Arvydas_Zemaitis - - 49 comments @ Damn dirty Customers

Good questions, for testing purposes the dirt was ramped up to 11, to see how it works, but basically every customer step has a very small random float amount that is added to the zone that is being stepped on, bringing out some dirt, in real game time, to have a zone have 100% dirtiness, almost a few thousand customers would have to walk trough your shop. And still removing a 100% dirty zone, cleaning it would take less than a second. I would be more concerned about display objects such as shelves or counters getting worn from placing, taking, stealing, knocking of items, customers say they dont like items on worn out displays....
