Latest news is up on the dev blog (http://tumblr.dysis.net/) - been running slow last year due to large unforeseen circumstances, but now are jamming. New update will be released very shortly, and there will be weekly updates for the foreseeable future once that update hits. I will be releasing more info on that as we get closer to release. The plan is to have Desura and Steam update at the same time, but I'm not sure how long the Steam approval will take - so it may drop here first!

Yes indeed - apologies - but we are now back to full time dev, and looking at a very near update. I'm putting final touches on some sandbox things, and will be updating the forum (since the game engine has been through some major changes the topics there are all dated). Latest dev progress is now up on the blog - I will post here as well shortly!

The update will be available at the end of the week, it's under final testing and development right now!

Alright - I agree with you on the cause of the issue (the camera basically drops, ends up inside a block, and re-positions). Since it looks like I need to change the camera setup to work better in the asteroid fields and enemy stronghold maps anyway, I believe we'll see this issue disappear entirely.

I've also been working on occlusion culling (which should work especially well when you are zoomed in) - and this should help keep framerates higher!

Interesting - I don't have a screen capable of that currently, but I can force the game to simulate the resolution for me. Are you getting a solid 60fps? It might have something to do with that - which is super annoying, so I'll bump that to the top of my priorities today!

I've been thinking about revamping camera movement, to something where the player controls the vertical rotation point instead of it sitting on the terrain and raising/lowering as the terrain does (as this is partially to blame with the bobbing - but also the camera is treated as a physics object, so currently if it loses terrain underneath it, it falls until it has landed on more terrain). Hopefully I'll have it figured out in the next patch really soon!

Huh, so you it just requires a few different memory management settings than what I had in the Dysis.sh originally to run on your machine. Interesting, thanks for testing it out and finding a solution! I'll be sure to include that in the next update.

Huh, that's strange. The shell script basically just uses java -jar also. Definitely let me know - thanks! (I'll definitely be putting some more effort into getting the Linux side of stuff running more smoothly - gameplay and engine stuff has just taken priority for now).

I haven't had a chance to upload it to the Linux Desura client installer, but I'm planning to do so soon! I'm surprised the ZIP version (with the .so) doesn't work for you (since I tested with a clean Ubuntu 12.10 install). It MIGHT be your version of Java - but I hope to have any issues involving that sorted out soon.

Hey there, your extra copies should be located at: Secure.desura.com

You can click redeem on them, and then you will be provided with the option to send them to a friend. Alternatively, you can private message me or email me (make sure you include your kickstarter email address), and I can look up your keys and provide them to you that way. Then you can just send your friends those keys and they'll be able to activate them whenever they'd like!

0.0.05 should now be live on Desura, I put the change log up when I upload it to Desura, so usually you'll see the patch within the next 24 hours (or however long it takes to verify on their side of things).

This is a known bug that I am working to fix - it seems to be very specific setups are causing this. If you have an Intel graphics card, try updating to the latest official driver (or you can wait and I'll try to have a fix out in the next update)!

New version (0.0.04) is uploaded and awaiting verification and should have a first fix for this. When it goes live, go to settings>graphics>openCL and make sure it's disabled. Hopefully that will work for you!

:p If you would have sent me an email, I would have (tried) to be back to you in 5! I just don't get notifications here on Desura for people that post on this comment section.

Hey - I hope you've made your way over to the forums - I didn't see your message here, but bugs and tech support is very active at: Forum.dysis.net !

This sounds like a known issue that we are already working to fix!

Head over to our forums at Forum.dysis.net and post there so I can get some more details and figure out why! I have tested on a mac that I've got, but there could be another reason (like graphics) that it is crashing.
