annoying thing about artillery sometimes when they go in "firing mode" they stay in it i can't move them or by pressing the "S" stop button this is a problem when enemy is approaching and you need to move and run (they sometimes move eventually after few seconds but for some it is too late)

noticed it with all artillery that have to lift cannon to fire (for example assault general, all china, sw general, sometimes elbrus launcher)

this is something i have experienced through 007 and now 008

ok then i thought it was a bug because there is no sell button

played with AI and infantry general came and capture supply depot of laser general and sold it

also in the same game when tank general para dropped tanks in laser general base tanks that are falling are being hit with laser defense turret and receive little or no damage

i think the seraphim looks pretty much awesome but when faced with infantry he fires anti-air rockets at them - it isn't effective but when he attacks buildings he fires whole arsenal

question about the fix vs laser general map - when extracted into zh dir do i need to rename it from contra007 to contra008beta2 or something?

i just experience that on that particular challenge map other are fine

well i know that but it seems like range of detection is reduced then on other maps i played..

is it just me or vs demolition general bomb trucks are not detected until they are right on top off my defences (i use detection units)

i don't know i played so much time on hard diff so i can predict their tactics

i don't know why people complain about difficulty of challenge mode it suppose to be difficult one might say challenging but if you have enough experience it is very easy

started a new game SW vs AF ended him in 15-20min, no error so ignore previous message :D

only way to "avoid" id is by saving every 10-15mins works for me if there is no point in saving like SW vs AF it crashes at one moment no matter what i do
still it is beta so i can expect glitches like that :)

ok this was not so funny..
started demo challenge mission2 vs assault after 3-4s of intro game started and 16 units (rebels + rpg troopers) appeared near my building and destroyed me -> defeat (tried few times same result)

first of all great work on new beta
played it through 7 challenges with laser general and it is really different (AI i mean)
really like the water it is very beautiful

strange thing happened with challenge where i fight superweapon general - she called on airstrike and i shot down all of the A-10 one of them crashed into mine cold fusion reactor and kept firing with his front gun destroying it and then he disappeared

great job! i think i am going to try challenge first :)

as far as i can "translate" something is very heavy.. and should arrive very soon..

ah ok i thought there would be an option in the future for all generals like in normal game

yesterday i played vs some AI and one of the GLA captured USA supply depot from my ally.. then he sold the depot but when played with the USA you cant sell it.. that was interesting

same here it looks too easy.. some are stronger than the others but it's not that hard to win..
please give us a better challenge :D

btw mod is awesome thanks guys, despite a bug with laser commanche :) looking forward to the full version, but now i am happy with beta

whats with the commanche that cannot attack units until they are in range, i mean i cannot click attack until i came into weapons range then attack cursor appears.. is that a bug or?

thanks my problem was with the game itself i recently put new windows so the game isn't installed fixing it atm

agreed, tried to use the old launcher of 007 to open 008.. renamed all the 008 files to 007 cause launcher only works with 007, was able to get the splash screen but it keeps asking for me to insert a CD which i did mount with daemon
please give us a proper launcher or if there is another way to install :) ty

looks interesting.. what worries me is declasification date 2014. :D
