No money made from it, no license needed.
Look at Garry Newman's blog or whatever it's called. It makes updating Source games easier.
Well, why were they playing the original HL2? The steam pipe update only happens when you try play the game.
Well, they are on Unreal engine. A commercial liscense costs a good bit of a budget, and they get a percent of your profits.
I am willing to work with you. As of right now, I have a basic understanding of all the aspects of source. I am most skilled in level design and texturing.
The biggest problem I have is lack of anything to show. I really need something to show for all the time I have spent on source, but I don't.
Is this dead, or what?
Still going to use it anyway. looking good.
Oh, wow. My expectations were rather large, weren't they.
Looks good, but not what I am looking for.
Thanks for posting this. I will use this for a game. Looks very good.
I wish more engines had built in Lua or Java support. Would save people a lot of time.
Just a little heads up: You would have to find an older version of the game or code the sticky gel yourself. It was replaced with the texture-less reflector gel.
Try messaging/emailing the creator. Better chance of him noticing.
Exactly. Another thing I hate is the way Moddb handles mods. They let this crap through, but I post a legit mod, with my years of experience, but forget screenshots, and they delete it before I can finish anything. How about they add a wip mod section for modders looking for a team.
I would love to help. I know basic stuff (starting area, all of the testing stuff, walls you can and can't place portals on), and some of the more complicated stuff (not exactly sure on what that entails, but I am most likely good at it).
Is this dead? Are you and your team trapped in Xen? If not, I can make textures.
As of right now, I think something like that would take a really long time.
The pants texture needs to be a tiny bit more complex. Just feels off.
Just wait, once I learn java, and Minecraft modding API is given, I shall turn it into an rpg, with character customization as the main feature. who needs mojang's capes when I can make legendary armor and spawn fireballs.
Looks nice. One question, is it just you, or do you have help?
And they keep updating it with more features.
I know why Valve is taking so long: they are making an Anti-mass Spectrometer.
How about you start with a black background, then a blurred apartment or Black Mesa, then City 17.
Just use paint. Would probably look better, with about the same amount of time put in.
I am decent when it comes to concept art.
from my dad's experiences, I would think that the moment he goes back to work, she'll hate it.
Girls are attention hogs.
UDK is not an engine. It is a free tool for developing on the unreal 3 engine.
