No, it was a glitch where if the fox or Freddy attacked at the same instant you brought up your camera viewscreen you would hear the scream but the game wouldn't end. The camera would be frozen and you couldn't close it.

Run in compatibility mode for Windows 7! The alt+tab problem seems to be a Windows 8 thing.

I've seen the game sometimes not work in Windows 8 for some reason, but you can fix that by right clicking the game icon and choosing to run it in compatibility mode for Windows 7!
