Hey thanks for your feedback. I have some pretty sweeping changes coming very soon and the next update fixes the crashes and slow FPS problems that you and a few other people are facing.
I understand it is frustrating something with a game in development but I am doing my best to support everyone and even the most obscure hardware and graphics settings that some people have.
Rest assured that I don't like it when people are having issues with Vox, heck even if a small number of people report an issue I try my hardest to get to the bottom of it.
Anyway, long story short thanks for your feedback and early preview. Hopefully with new additions and more updates that are coming you can revisit the game at a later stage and give a follow up. and see how the game changes as development progresses.
Yes, Steam keys are available now!
I posted a thread regarding Steam keys and how to get your get for previous purchases on Vox over on the Steam forums here: Steamcommunity.com
If you are not able to get your key using the method I described in the post then you really need to contact Desura or whichever Bundle site you got the game from, since there is nothing more I can do. The providers all have the steam keys now and the rest of it is out of my hands.
Also I am working on lots of fixes and issues for the next update and I will provide you more details of that once stuff is progressed more.
As always thanks for your support .:)
Hi people, Steam keys have been added to Desura, if you want to redeem your Steam key please do so at the following page: Indiedb.com
Steam keys will be uploaded to Desura once I receive them from Steam.
Hi, could you post more technical information about your issue on the forums maybe? If you could provide a little bit more detail on how you receive a crash that would help me a lot.
Very busy! ;)
And I continue to work and put more and more into Vox, the more stuff that players want, the more I will work.
Yes... this update is free for anyone who has already bought the game. You don't need to buy again for the update/patch.
Hi, if you wanna host a multiplayer game in the new patch you need to have port forwarding open for port 11001 to your computer. Sorry I didn't explain this fully.
Hi, thanks for the detailed spec... I am looking into more optimizations and fixes for this.
Have you turned shadows and depth of field off?
Actually the new version is currently waiting approval from Desura. I have submitted it last night and just waiting for them to authorize it for distribution.
Hopefully won't be long now :)
Thank you :D
Thanks for your support. Yes you will get a Steam key once on Steam.
I have a new patch coming out very soon that will fix a lot of the crashes you might notice, sorry for the problems with the current version.
Left to right - Grass, dirt, rock, stone, sand, wood.
The update is coming soon :)
Yes, dont worry. Improvements and stability is coming in the next update ;) Thank you for your support!
Dont worry. I would never forget you! Thank you so much for the support and just you wait, I have something great planned for you all :) <3
Cheers man :)
Yes, once the game comes to Steam via Greenlight.
There is going to be a 'theme' option that allows you to change the GUI to a number of different options. ;)
Hey guys, just wanted to post a quick comment to say sorry for the really slow updates or progress reporting by me. Don't worry I am still working as hard as ever and pretty soon I will be ready to show you something amazing!
The next patch is going to literally blow your socks off, there is so much included and it also has an amazing new graphical interface.
So again, sorry that this is taking longer than I thought, but I thought it is much better to release a fully refined and quality product that keep bring out frequent updates every week.
On the Desura patch notes it should say the changelog.
For a little while longer yet, you should be fine :)
At the moment I am just working on the new update/patch. That should help solve some of the crashing problems you are experiencing. Sorry for the problems.
There already is a demo version, and it is free to download on IndieDB. I update the free demo version every now and again as I add new features and gameplay to the main game.
Yes... you can already change some options (lower the draw distance) to make it less laggy, and I will be adding new optimizations in future updates to make it better.
There are improvements and updates coming all the time. Currently I am working on a feature that many people have been requesting a lot recently... multiplayer :)
