It finally works :) I took the "registration" and "english" thing (but in [] ) out of the cnc file and then naval battle skirmish worked. (with great lag even in 2vs2 battle but still works)

too bad the ships are sometimes built on land. (i'm going to try carriers now :p)

It worked but only up to the beginning of the campaign and then crashed, I will try to find skirmish to see if it works.

And despite the "registration" and "Zero_Hour English", I only have square [] everywhere. (but I still managed to find the campaign box)
Should I download some japanese/chinese Windows language to see characters ?

Maybe it is because of this that I got the "hardware" crash ? (or at least, because not a graphic card good enough and enough RAM and GhZ)

Finally got to the intro (I forgot to use the "generals in cnc" but then it crashed. (hardware crash)
Is my computer too weak or just because I have C&C in french version ? (though I use your "registration")

If it's my computer, can I get your file you deleted ? (for weak computers)

Help pls ! I want to finally play a naval battle with a carrier :) (though Act of War was cool, there wasn't a naval carrier, just a troop carrier)

I just downloaded it with the English Rar and patch 1.

Each time, I do the "registration" and automatic registered and then I launch "Generals" and I see the screen with the blue jet then a windows and then nothing.

:( (I tried 1 time with the Modern Warfare file in the ZH file and 1 time in EA Games and neither worked)

Help pls ! I want to finally play a naval battle with a carrier :) (though Act of War was cool, there wasn't a naval carrier, just a troop carrier)

I don't have ZH in English version (only french patched) is that a problem ? (I searched for French to English patch for C&C without luck, yet)

You really are a good cameraman for naval presentation video :) (like in the video you deleted with a carrier battlegroup passing by a fisherman ship without destroying it^^ -as there could be fighters hidden with rockets in it)
love the wave, the light on the water and the light in background when you film a ship from water-level camera. (I don't know the video term for that)

Can't wait for this !

(In fact, I was thinking like in Act of War where you got jets which have limited missiles in their suit so they need to rearm, just there, no need to get back on a carrier or air base, just click a button to reload and you rearm in the air) So such a system but for several units.

For Windows 8, yes I know, I was just saying that I'm still on XP (I may have a new computer in the year with Windows 7) so I didn't get to play new versions so just in case there was already something like what I asked for and Windows 7/8 because I heard the 7 will stop being provided eventually. (and I hate the 8, having already used it, too tablet-like for me while the 7 is ok)

In fact, I was thinking about something automatic : just a button on each unit with limited ammo to reload earlier (one on one basis, no need for a button to reload all at once -since your air defense/arti for exemple would be offline for some seconds so unable to bombard or kill enemy missiles and it would cost a lot somehow)
but spending $$. (while free if it reloads because you used all ammo on enemy units) So no supply line like in RUSE game (for the ressource supply, lot of vehicles going from ressource to base) or fuel-ammo supply line like in WARGAME games.

Like if you feel you may get a need of full ammo on arti-helo-drone-jet-air defense (be it for a massive strike commanded by a ground ally player in some times and your units don't have enough ammo or because you will get attack by lot of air-arti and some may pass throught because you didn't had full ammo)
(just like in FPS games, when you have 10 out of 30 ammo and you feel you need to reload because 10 isn't enough for what is possible to appear next -several enemies- something like that)

As for "a mod in your game" (if it's not too hard/long to code), I was thinking about the fact to not have anything absolute. (those who wouldn't like such a mod just wouldn't have to activate it and when you get in a game, you know if it is activated or not, so you're free to join if you like it)

As you said, your game is good enough as it is, so need to copy RUSE/WARGAMES with supply vehicles and that's not what I was thinking at.^^ (supply lines which could be destroyed by an enemy if by road and shot down by air defense if by air convoy)

Do you think one day, you will be able to add a "mod" (a mod you can enable-disable when you launch a map) to your game to give artillery/air defense/air offense (jets, helos, drones) a limited amount of ammo ?

Having to reload them with a cost and a reload time. (like : if your enemy mass bombard somewhere near your Patriot/land CWIS/Iron Dome, you eventually know you may have to reload and spend $$ for it, so giving a chance for massive attacks to succeed -massive attacks like artillery strikes from several players&artillery batteries or from multiple helos shooting all their available missiles at once, or artillery&helos at the same time)

Something like that. (I don't have windows 7 or 8 so I didn't play recent versions yet, so sorry if there is already such a thing -or at least, just with the land CWIS- and I'm not speaking about activating radar on air defense and the reload time for the radar when you stop it)

I know this isn't new but I still love the coordination between air force (apache) and ground force for targetting purpose. A whole new game compared to vanilla WIC^^.

Btw, the missiles define themselves for only one laser frequency each before the launch (in the apache) so or they "decide on their own" in flight whom target's laser frequency are whom's target ? (not sure if it's correct english or even a correct sentence)

When you did retarget for a 2nd missile, in a real game with moving targets (eventually), would you have enough time to retarget or the 2nd missile would have already strike in fact ? (strike the ground, not any target) or the laser command is fast enough to retarget as you wish or the 2nd missile slow enough? (since you have to wait the 1st missile hit before retargetting and you throw those nearly at the same time)

And I know it's from another video (land Cruise missile -but I prefer to follow only 1 vid for my message so I post it here too^^) but Cruise missiles, are those retargetable (when you change the course of the missile in the vid) or was that just for vid purpose ? :)

Anyway, really, great tutorial ! I wish I already had my future Windows 7 gamer computer to play your mod !

I think in C&C General, with enough Sam defense (like 40 or more), you can destroy some of the GLA scud (2 or 3) but you still end up being hit by the rest of them, as it is a superweapon so you can't avoid it. (if you could negate it totally with so many Sam defense or laser defense, then it would lose its meaning as superweapon and then, only the chinese nuke or the laser superweapon would be useful)

Since the Mod (or Game since it's better than the original game) is going for the Warfare part of war, you can't have squad with more than 3/5 people. Just multiple squad against air-tank-soldiers hiding on some parts of the map playing defense (of the base you control) and calling arti and air support on enemies in sight. (with the link between mostly land force and arti and then air support, you can really say it's about warfare and how every military branches is supposed to work in coordination with each other to win)

When you spoke of bigger squad, it made me think of Company of Heroes (and Warhammer 40k) but I don't think Modern Warfare these days is about how big a squad is. (as a 5-man squad have more chance to go stealthy and still being effective than a 12-man squad)

Well, just my tough :o (maybe I'm wrong)

So in fact, the intercepting missiles just get "on the way" of the enemy missiles (correcting its position a last time with the fuel left), they don't blow up when the incoming missiles is at point-blank distance. (i tough that the explosion -and dispersion of the missiles bits- destroyed the incoming missile)

So except for Jet fighters, missiles don't need to hit the target, just to explode close to the target and the blast destroy it.

Really cool IMU Telemetry, with the Mach stats for the missile. (and for the orbital approach)

When the last version came, I tough that you wouldn't have anything more to add, and I'm surprised to see that you're still refining your mod to get the ballistic even more realist. Great of you :)

Isn't this ship supposed to have an Anti-submarine warfare heli ? Since it's stationary, there should be one pinging his sonar to find enemies sub, no ? (and launching torpedoes at it)

Great game tough, i can't wait for future videos of naval battles ! (which is the thing I always missed in C&C:Generals)

Oh and it's great when you zoom in and we can see the troops. (especially the swat team and the tactical unit -well there was 2 armored looking unit team but dont remember the name, aka not simple survivor but soldiers with weapons) just hope that other than a gamemod, you will always have infinite ammo or it wouldn't be as funy !

Most don't do that because some dev team would present the whole work as theirs and because it takes them a lot of time, so they don't want to have somebody using their project to shorten their developping time of their mod. (of course, some team are fair toward others who help them)

well, that's why this is a Carrier Fleet, meaning the others ships protecting the carrier all have "standard weapons". (like missiles, torpedoes -which the airfighter have too- the canon wouldn't be that useful, in a time where missiles are the main weapon, since you're not supposed to be too close from the enemy warships, except if you bombard some place)
